  1. This season, Chelsea's opponents can have one big gameplan: run at Cahill, score goals.
  2. It's the squad, the board, and the manager is fresh to PL. It's just a mess. Meanwhile though, the starting lineup could be better with the current squad. The board should have bought and sold more.
  3. pointless bringing on Pedro. what are you thinking?
  4. Matic is frustrating. WTH guy? Chalobah and Batshuayi. Who here will take Bats in a duel with Mustafi? Raise your hands.
  5. Being hard-headed in a high tempo league, in a match down 3-0.... I think you're going about it all wrong. When in Rome.... whoops. no subs.
  6. "Gareth Bale not happy at Madrid" + Zidane admires Hazard. "Chelsea need about 10 new players" -Pep Guardiola.
  7. subs at half: Chalobah, Alonso, Batshuayi hah, Chalobah even on the bench ???? FFS. total mess.
  8. There is no team. so what do you want from the superstar? Watch NBA instead; we don't have a Messi.
  9. We're losing Eden Hazard after this shitshow season. Can't buy better squad players, need to buy big players some people said. Aiming for Stoke-level Premier League club. Good job CFC. Clueless.
  10. Can we fall lower than 10th in the EPL? Yes we can.
  11. I'm cleaning the lawn mower instead. fuck this shit.
  12. Good win, but I'm guessing the team selection played big part (haha). FFS, can we PLEASE not see more of Ivanovic at RB? center MF to consider: Fab and Kante, Kante with FAb and Chalobah, Kante with Fab and Possilby RLC. LIkewise, I'm tired of seeing Matic and Oscar. I wasn't at home to watch this match, but the highlights suggest that the match punctuated points we've made on this forum about interplay between Hazard, CMs, and fullbacks along with interplay on the right side with Azpi being in his proper spot. Wow. Imagine.
  13. Good conversation going on here. I think it's true.
  14. errr... Koeman, which is at least someone with some PL experience already. I just have to ask the question whether having a long hard look at our deficiencies will spur massive action (getting rid of "dead wood" or sub-standard players in the squad) on the part of both Conte and the CFC board. I can begin to forgive dumbshit decisions like Torres, deBruyne, not having a top winger while Drogba was still playing with us for years after Robben and Duff, and keeping Mikel as a long-term DM for a decade if someone or some group of people take the initiative and make things right, but I think we're all just waiting, waiting, waiting. Meanwhile, Dortmund, ManCity and seemingly Everton are waaaaaaaay more entertaining to a general football fan.
  15. Conte needs more time and no, I'm not a Conte fanboy; my fav. manager has been Klopp as I am a longtime Dortmund fan. You should all look at the shot totals from ManCity and the Tottenham matches. Then also take a look at the shot count in the Watford-ManUtd match. I loved the comment earlier from a United supporter who mentioned "midfielders who can't think quickly enough." I will echo what others have suggested in their comments here: put our slow build-up and personnel problems aside, you cannot afford to play conservative or sit back like a Mourinho or maybe a Conte side in the Premier League. Defending may have gotten better in the past 15 years, but right now there's a lack of top class defenders whose ability and mentality sets them apart from the rest --that is, compared to the money being offered by clubs in search of top talent. Liverpool might be a mid-table side from last season, but it's possible that being mid-table and having Klopp as your manager gives you a practical edge when composing your squad (instead of waiting until the end of the window for some players who will never come).
  16. This manager will fail if he keeps playing these players. Unfortunately, we needed a little more in the transfer window too. Everton look like genius signing Koeman, Williams and Gana. Chelsea don't have one centre back on payroll as good as Ashley Williams and Gana is essentially the same buy as Kante... and Everton actually have capable fullbacks on both sides starting Will be interesting to see how KDB and Lukaku's sides do for the duration of this season.
  17. Needed more transfers in and need a manager at least willing to venture with young players if the senior players aren't working. What is strange about the tactics and selection from Conte so far is that he hasn't even ventured to use a traditional trident or two striker system when things aren't going well on the attack. Batshuayi could have changed the match against two Liverpool centre backs who've barely played with one another under any kind of pressure. If it's not working from CM, fullback and up front, change it FFS.
  18. Guess we have a slow learner as manager and a too-slow side on the pitch (yet again). Let's see what's next. Part of me just wants to watch Kevin deBruyne this season instead.
  19. The camera has just shown the three players sitting who should be on now: Bats, Fab and Alonso.
