Tibo makes a perfect interpreter for Diego
!
To know he didn't speak a single word of Spanish when he left for Madrid 3 years ago!
LMAO that's quite strange. A native French/Flemish speaker translating from English to Spanish for a native Portugese speaker!

Cesc assisting Costa even in NT training

The thing is, if we evolve the team properly and correctly in future windows I honestly believe we are in for a good 5 6 year spell off domination, we were in for something similar this time ten years ago but we started messing up the transfer window and let United back in. I have a feeling Jose is going to win the quad sometime soon, maybe not this year but 2016 or 2017.
There's a reason no English team has won the quadruple before and it's that you would need everything to go your way. It won't happen.
-
Unless we will completely dominate them, I dont see that work too great either, perhaps not enough speed and power right there, but who knows. Wish Oscar and Ramires was the same person...reckon this will be player that Mou will look after in next few seasons...
I reckon we'll be in for Khedira next year given he's out of contract.
-
Yeah, a simple pass to the side (dunno who was there waiting to recieve it) would probably lead to 1 on 1 situation. BUT mr. Ramires passed in wrong direction (directly into their defender) and not just that, he also added so little power every damn player 20m away would catch it...And he had like all the time and space in the world to make that simple pass...
But thats Ramires. Worst technique player of team and then he bangs a rocket or pass that even Xavi wouldnt in 100 tries...I think he has all the ability to do that, just simply not enough composed/intelligent to pull them regulary.
Generaly I actualy like Ramires, he adds speed, power, pulls ace out of nowhere, hardworking, but for the benefit of the team to perform good constantly and not fuck up every second attack because of Ramires, I think he should be benched. While he is valuable in certain aspects, I just dont feel comfortable when he is in lineup, we just dont control things as we should. Without him, we are little short on pace in midfield though. But defending wise, you might think we would be stronger with Ramires than Oscar, but its opposite. Unless we park bus, Oscar gives much more to defence, while Ramires doesnt even know where to place himself when opposition gets the ball. He probably goes to buy a kebab meanwhile and then comes back.
Everyone talks about Pogba or Vidal, but personaly I would replace him (eventualy) with Schneiderlin. Most underrated CM/DM/B2B in the world, or at least in prem IMO.
Yep I'd like to see how the Oscar-Matic-Fabregas trio works in big games. While Oscar isn't as athletic as Ramires, he's much more intelligent off-the-ball and obviously better on the ball (who isn't?). No point having Ramires if all he does with his athleticism and stamina is run around like a headless chicken.
-
You do realize our midfield was open wider than hooker's legs? Yeah Ramires did score and assist, but also left Matic alone xx times. His positioning was completely off every damn time Everton attacked. They controled tempo and possession etc. It was kind of game that happens once or twice a year, but Ramires was usual self. Sloppy most of time with moments of absolute brilliance.
I genuinely facepalmed when Ramires ruined that good counter attack in the second half by passing to nobody (think it was aimed at Cesc).
-
Great article. It's clear that the midfield trio were poor defensively. Say what you like about him, but David Luiz at CM in the big games was an absolute beast.
-
why inn hell would Monaco pay some of his wages? bullshit! Mufc pay all his wages.
Real Madrid pulled out because they wouldnt pay all of his wages they say in spain.
Because they were clearly desperate to get rid of him and left it to the last day with only 1 club interested, making it inevitable they'd have to compromise. United will have to pay his full wages from next season onwards though unless he takes a big pay cut.
-
Attracting stars? Hardly, here is the breakdown of his agreement or contract or whatever you want to call it - I'd certainly sacrifice CL football for this...
£12m loan fee
£350,000 a week wages = £18.2m a year before tax
+ an agreement to sign him for an additional £51m next year to avoid FFP rules on a four year deal at the same wages which is £91m in a wages total for the five years before tax + £61m transfer fee (Inc. the loan fee)
Total investment in a 29 year old striker = £152m
*Sources are various, obviously what we have all read just collated into one place.
Good player but a risky investment and a heck of alot of money.
I'm completely fine with spending £800k this summer (net spend).
Those figures are a little off.
It's a £6m loan fee at £265k per week (Monaco paying the rest of the wages), and an agreement to sign him next year for £35m.

"Mourinho must be crying himself to sleep. He would kill to have one of our attackers, let alone all of them."
LOL what has Mourinho got to do with this? They're obsessed with the man probably because they wanted him to replace Fergie. http://www.redcafe.net/threads/your-preference-for-the-next-manager.370323/

But they are big though
I highly doubt a South American player who dreams of playing for Real thinks United are bigger.
-
He called United the biggest club in the world. No doubt he'd have done the exact same if he signed for Real. These mercenaries...

Alan Smith's source was probably twitter rumours
-
another one
BREAKING NEWS: Guillem Balague says live on Radio5 that Falcao has failed his medical. United will now block Welbeck's move to Arsenal.
That's fake.
-
Yeah I kinda don't like it anymore - it's just cringeworthy...
Too many annoying chavs surround the reporters on deadline day. Sky really ought to do something about it.
-
United might get Vidal and falcao. Final transfer day is gonna be crazy
Apparently the reason they haven't bought Vidal (yet) is because they're worried about how he will fare after his knee injury. But Falcao, soon to be 29, would be coming off an ACL injury into a new league and he would command a higher transfer fee and massive wages. I see why they might buy a striker but Falcao seems a strange buy.
-
That's even stupider!!!! Instead of reinforcing their defense, they sell all their strikers and get a new one.
Who knows, they might do both.
-
RVP is apparently going to have a knee operation (according to the Mirror anyway), Hernandez looks like he's going to Madrid and Welbeck might leave as well.
-
Posted this on the Falcao thread but just seen this one and guess it will be better here.
Falcao follows her on twitter btw. If it's true it means United will be paying hm more than Rooney's £300k/week!
-
Well apparently he's now going to United...

Said his twitter got hacked

Sounds like Falcao's heading to City.

The Problem is .. I dont see anyone who can adequately replace Matic. And I dont just mean in our Team. Because he is such natural and complete Footballer.
Tiago would have which is why I was really disappointed when we pulled out of the deal. A leader, experienced, defensively solid, tactically astute and his passing range is better than Matic's too.
-
I wonder what he shouted to Coleman.
Apparently...

Howard eeb saying in the mail that costa should have been off for a second yellow ??
Graham Poll you mean. I think he's referring to the 'dive' just before Ramires' goal (our 5th).
🇷🇸 Nemanja Matic

One of Ramires' assist was to an offside Ivanovic and the other a simple pass to Matic. And just because we won the big matches without Oscar doesn't mean we wouldn't have won them with him or that he won't play any this season.
