The arrogance some Chelsea fans have attained since Mourinho's return is pretty laughable. Everyone is bad, except you lot? You play defensive football (basically anti-football) with a team that hasn't got a confident striker. Mourinho's last tactical experiment failed and you just lost to Bayern Munich due to both of those points. Just something to consider.

Kagawa would have been sent back to Dortmund if he's not wanted. He was given the week off. He'll be featuring in games to come for sure.
-
You're happy someone suffered a head injury? There is something wrong with you.
-
He did completely choke. It was Neuer to be fair though. I actually turned the sound off on the game, near the end of extra time - I thought it was over. I then turned around and saw people taking penalties. Very unlucky to lose that way.
-
Sorry. I missed it replying to others. You made a good point yes, but not something I couldn't of explained. It's like I get jumped on sometimes. I'm going to relax.
-
Actually there is relevance in what we were talking about - it all was about Mourinho's tactics and that relates to this too. I know you've been here three years so you don't need to tell me again by the way.
-
I don't want to argue with you. I usually like your posts. I'm going to leave it there. But just to clarify - I said it's something he likes to use. Not his absolute favourite.
-
I'm not interested in talking to biased fans, with idiotic views. I quote and talk to people who's opinion I value. This is not you. At least 17 years less than me. Oh and you should look into the simple 'stretching' tactic I mentioned. Ronaldo was used in it a lot under Mourinho.
-
No, you really haven't. This simple tactic I pointed out is a Mourinho favourite - I think you'd know that, knowing more than me? Anyway yeah. I'm done with analyzing - people always think they know more than they actually do. It's why I hate discussing it - with anyone to be honest. No offence to you at all.
-
What the fuck are you doing? Pointless poster number three. Why do these people never make a point? List: Bushman, Kojo, Pacquiao. "hahha Oh lol" ;/
-
With all due respect. I've been analyzing football a lot longer than you. You're wrong. I've said my piece, you yours. Let's leave it at that - people can make their own mind up.
-
I know for a fact if you asked Mourinho in secrecy - did his tactics with Schurrle work, he'd tell you no. Watch the game again if you don't believe me.
-
He touched the ball only thirteen times in the first half. He was supposed to be used as a simple weapon to stretch our defence so Hazard could get into pockets of space. He was clueless at it and as a result we dominated possession and our defence was not stretched - we even pushed our full backs well forward and he could do nothing. He had no clue what he was doing and ended up being simply another line of defence. I was going to say it in Nish's analysis thread - but I'll say it here instead since I'm on it - Mourinho did not get it right - his tactics failed badly. You should hope he doesn't get it so wrong against Bayern.

We all know Jose's strength is defensively organising teams. It's what he knows - it's what he excels at. It's even what he loves - it's what brings him success. There can be no argument here. The execution of such tactics obviously require the correct players; organised, strong and disciplined. It's not really rocket science, and in this simple truth lies the fate of Juan Mata. He's simply not a Mourinho player - and probably never will be. The tactics he deployed at Old Trafford only further proved to me he's better off sticking to nullifying opponents. Juan Mata is completely wasted in this style of play and I honestly don't think Mourinho has any plans for him to be an integral part of his team. This isn't to say I predict Mata to be sold - just a much lesser role.
-
I'll answer fair statements not tripe. Your mobile front whatever did nothing. Those tactics scared Moyes? Come on.
-
I rate Chelsea highly - don't forget this. My recent posts look like I'm having a go. I am, for this game alone. I was disappointed in Jose's strategy. I can fully understand it though. This still doesn't change the fact your team looked majorly poor. I think it became clear Schurrle was played for one reason - more defence. I mean you can't really blame Jose, it is in fact like a lot of you said, he simply didn't want to hand us any kind of momentum. My point is, it would have been so much better to see us both go for it. Your team crowded midfield and also packed the box when we attacked. It was in effect the bus strategy. I feel a lot more confident in Moyes though if Jose felt he needed this much protection and basically massively limited his chances to score when playing us... If I'm honest on the whole, this is a better result for Chelsea than us, and Mourinho got what he wanted. I won't argue with this it's one of the reasons I wanted him managing us. I actually would sacrifice some attacking play to grind out results. The fact is though Chelsea played very badly other than in defence which isn't hard with the entire team behind the ball... and you all know it. If I was watching that game as a Chelsea fan I would have been pretty bored. Anyway, up to now for me - It's a Chelsea that needs to improve to win the league. For us - it's a team with the same problem a lack of any real invention in Midfield - something world class. Wing play won't always work. To sum up, it was the end of the world for nobody. We both march quite confidently on. With hope.
-
I actually do agree with that. I just feel Chelsea looked terrible last night. It's only one game though. Still I would not of been happy to see those tactics...
-
Well I've said my piece. I have no desire to argue with all of you over this. If you watched the game - you know. I didn't even mention Atkinson saving your bacon either.
-
As I said - Jose came for a draw and brought the big blue bus with him. Be honest with yourselves - this wasn't a good footballing display. It was close to embarrassing in my opinion for Chelsea. The team looked awful.. I'm not trying to be funny - but I watched every minute of that game. One more note - I don't think we were brilliant either. But we were better and we wanted to play.
-
We looked a lot better. We played football. Don't confuse parking the bus with playing well in defence.
-
Oh, so you threw us a bone. You allowed us the point. Thank you. Wow.
-
I'm still disgusted about this. As for the game - I was quite happy with the result. For me Moyes passed his first major test. Let's be honest too, we were the only ones trying to play football. Jose came for a draw. If the game would of been won, it would have been by us. Your team looked flat, and very out of ideas. No mata = disjointed. A total lack of creativity in my opinion. Long may Jose leave him out.
-
They'll never learn their lesson, sadly. It's just their nature/persona. Abu's.
-
Gotta say Carragher is winding me up...
-
I've learnt to never doubt Mourinho. He's playing this way for some reason. Maybe the game will tell the story. Then again he could just have so little faith in his strikers he's felt forced into these tactics. I wouldn't worry about the line-up though he knows what he's doing. I don't fancy your chances of stopping our attack mind - so you're gonna need a couple of goals from somewhere i think. If i question one thing - it's the inclusion of Schurrle.
