  1. They should take a talented trainer that has proven himself by a smaller club in Europe. A people person, a tough but fair trainer, no nonsense, no BS.
  2. Please, please, sack him. I have never liked (and that's an understatement) Mourinho; being a great manager is not just about getting some results, it's about how you behave and understand that people are at the centre of success. He thinks they are just pieces in a chess game and he's the grandmaster. I can only hope it's checkmate this time.
  3. I think the very best thing for us is to lose this game and see Mourinho go. Short pain, long term gain. The atmosphere he's created is one where nobody can thrive anymore, let's leave the path of destruction after today.
  4. I have seen this before, not necessarily in football, but if a manager creates a hostile environment, where everybody is blamed for everything except of course the manager him/herself, performance slumps big time. The manager can be charismatic, even brilliant in his/her field, but the behavior and management style eventually bites back, no matter how much individuals in the team are paid. The only action is to get rid of the manager asap, and usually it will take time to restore trust within the team.
  5. My guess is that De Bruyne could not work under Mourinho's style of management - which I wouldn't be able to do either by the way, and that De Bruyne therefore rejected Chelsea... Our loss.
  6. Mourinho is an "impossible person", and whilst his debatable "genius" may short term give results, at some point of time the negative spiral his personality disorder is creating will take over. Please get rid of him before he sucks out all the joy of football...
  7. He's a disgrace, and not something that should be on our football pitch. I prefer to see a football game, otherwise I would go watch pro wrestling...
  8. Mata performed because they had to play to score, when they play with the mindset to score most players we have will play well.. this was the difference. Mourinho's underlying tactics are built on defence, if he doesn't switch this around we'll continue to see a lot of underperforming players... he's expecting all the players to change around to his style, perhaps he should switch....
  9. I don't because I don't believe that what seems his philosophical approach to football (take less goals than the opposition) is the right one for this team and the players we have. It should be about "scoring more than the opposition" for this team, and if you want to build confidence with the players we have that is what you should do. Just about any player is not performing as they should in the team and that has got nothing to do with age. The whole discussion about what system he's going to play now is symptomatic, we should play our game/system and let the other teams adapt, if you can't do this with this team, you're the wrong trainer.
  10. this has nothing to do with which player to start or not, we don't have a system. Have a consistent system and it won't matter that much which player we start. We seem to be playing every game as a practice game to find a system...
  11. The players look confused and there's no consistency in our system. Rather than build a winning system where the players can clearly find their place and perform, we continue to be all over the place. Mourinho tries to be the star of the system (and fails) by coming up with "genius" tactics which creates more confusion and disorganisation.. This team needs to go out from its own strength, wtf is Mourinho trying to do....?

  13. Lets agree to disagree then. As I said I hope I'm proven wrong. So far at least I don't like the underdog mentality we seem to play with against the "best" teams, whatever the results.
  14. Heroic: absolutely we played like lions; top quality ... top quality flashes yes; top quality game: not in my book When it comes to patience you misread my post, I don't want it now, I want us to start building properly now and allow us to fail sometimes in the process. We are playing too much for results now, and not for building the future.
  15. Given the circumstances this is a good move for Lukaku, but it shouldn't have been.... With all the hype about Mourinho, I am far from impressed so far, I hope I will be wrong going forward though. Start rant " Since competition start we've played one decent half against... Hull... wow, outside of that one half we've played like chickens banking on some flashes of genius to score. We have, all be it very young, the nucleus of top talent in the team that can make this club to be the dominating force for years to come. I hope we are going to start playing the football and the players that can lead us to becoming that dominating force. What's the point of going for players that have proven they will never be the future of this club? Why do we start matches where every aspect of our game is geared towards us seeing ourselves as the underdog? If we fail a couple of times in the building process who the f* cares... Mourinho should be big enough to protect them against the criticism in any case. Go for it and aim to be great... We have the senior guys who are there to support, back up and nurture the younger talent and we have the young talent. Now is the time.... " close rant “I would sooner fail than not be among the greatest.” ― John Keats
