Their chairman has came out and said that, above all, the priority is for the team to play stylish football with panache, so why are they chasing Houllier?, wasn't he long ball at the scousers?, and very much counter attack. Which is why it never suited Owen in the end.

Now their saying Deschamps is favourite, shame, I would have settled for him here any day of the week

Sorry CM, gonna have to move this one to Football Talk. By all means a worthy discussion, but doesn't belong here!

Newcastle know what they want, but not that they can't have it... yet anyway. What they need is a good manager and to stick with him, maybe that's Houllier, but I don't think he'd take the job. I think they are going to end up with Shearer, and the sooner they get him and the fewer other managers they look at first the better.
