Need some iPod Classic help guys!

Im having a problem when syncing me iPod Classic 120gb. When I plug it in, a windows window comes up saying your device needs fixing.. Then two options 'Scan and Fix (Recommended)' or 'Continue Without Scanning' but both methods crash iTunes and my iPod won't sync When I unplug my iPod it says 'The required folder cannot be found'. I've looked on the internet and some others had problems with the Classic and the actually iTunes update, so I thought i'd wait until and new update came out (iTunes 10) But the same things keep happening. Any of you guys got any ideas that may help? Also do Apple stores across England fix iPods? Thanks!

That comes up everytime I plug mine in and I just close it and carry on no problems.

Happens to me as well, it's a problem with iTunes 10, i just uninstalled it and now use Winamp to update my ipod.

Lloyd I hade the exact same problem with mine it was because I accidently pulled it out while it was syncing and that corrupted the hardrive on it. So I went and brought it back to where I had bought it (thankfully it was still under warrenty). They took it from me and told me that they would have to send it to the supplier and it would take about a week, the problem was I was going on holiday in a few days, so I gave it to them anyway. 3 weeks later I came back from my holiday and went to collect it, they gave me the same box i had given them but a brand new ipod inside!

So I probably suggest you should bring it back to where you bought it

I've had mine longer than a year buddy.. Think it's absolutly ruined, it even crashes winamp :unsure:

I think you should at least bring it to an apple store or repair centre and at least ask if it is fixable and at what cost to see if it is worth the money fixing it or buying a new one

Not sure what will happen to your iTunes purchases, never bought anything from them..Just annoying cause now i can't get any of the podcasts i wanted.

make sure if you're going to an apple store that you make an appointment with the "genius bar" first they won't help you otherwise (at least not in the US)

it stinks that that happened, I had a problem with one but a restore cured it.
