Madmax 9,219
"There was a lack of contact between the players and the club. It was much like an office - to training and goodbye, to a match and goodbye. I am Brazilian and I can't offer my best performance if I'm not happy in every aspect of life."That was my problem. I am a special footballer and I need to be happy when I'm playing. That was the case at Real Madrid but never at City. Perhaps I should never have left Real Madrid."My destination was Chelsea with Luiz Felipe Scolari but, at the last moment, City appeared and I accepted. I did not decide the transfer. Correspondence is always between clubs and I am not responsible for what anyone will pay, but Mark Hughes called me and insisted I joined the club. He was decisive in my move.""Manchester is a sensational venue for football but an awful place to live ... the winter, the cold and the dark nights. It's very hard for a young Brazilian."The Premier League is one of the best in the world, without a doubt. The stadiums are always full and the atmosphere is incredible, but not every footballer is able to play in England. The character can be difficult for a foreigner.Full storyI still don't understand how this joke of a footballer is wanted by clubs like AC Milan. What a tosser. And to think it could have been us tearing our hair out over him! Like they say, whatever happens, happens for the best ...

We Hate Scouse 10,326
He is a good player, I still rate him. He had a torrid time at Man City which is fair enough and it has ruined his reputation completely, but I think in a team full of good players like AC he can thrive. Styles 9,790
I don't think Robinho is particularly as good as most people claim. He has always struck me as a very hit and miss sort of player. Maybe he would have done better at Chelsea playing alongside quality players but when Scolari was sacked and things weren't looking so good for the club would Robinho have kicked up a fuss? Probably. He was a huge risk when you factor in transfer fee and wages.
BluesChick 1,260
He seems to believe that football isn't a business which it is and he needs to accept that. If the wants a familial type atmosphere with in the club he may never be happy anywhere or perhaps that is just his "excuse" as I recall he was happy with the atmosphere at Real either. I don't think he will be happy any where that he isn't being catered to and has the club answering to him every time he whines. I could be wrong but that is the way he comes across
