kakuta44 16
lately ... ohh i am sorry not just lately it has been a while now since i remembered that anyone else can show up and score goals other tha lampard and drogba ..... i can definitely say that more than 90% of our goals are by drogba and lampard efforts ......its either an assist from lampard or a goal from didier or a goal from frank or an assist from drogba ......is that a normal thing ??????????? ...... cause i think its not ...... so correct if i am wrong its definetly a bad thing for the team and its even worse when both of mentioned players are over 31 years old and cannot come every match and do the extra work for the team as rooney does for man u because he is 24 not 31 or 33 ..... even anelka recently has been very very ordinary and never looked like scoring .....so whyyyy is that and how can we solve that problem ...... boshman 1,073
I don't see it as much of a problem really. Lamps and Dider are our best players therefore contribute the most. But saying they do everything for the team i think does the others a dis-service. You look at United, they have Shrek with 20 whatever goals and their next scorer is own goal with 10. We have Didier with 25, Lamps 15, Anelka 13 and even Malouda has 8 goals this year. The only problem with their ages is that they will not be able to continue this in 5 years time. At 31 or 32 you still have a good 5 years left of your career so i don't think there is much of a problem yet. We have time to blood our youngsters in so they will be primed and ready to go once Lampard and co decide to call it a day.

BlueLion. 21,491
Every club has their star striker and playmaker. Look at United; Giggs has supplied the vast majority of their assists this season and Rooney's scored more than the rest of their attacking players put together. Arsenal have Fabregas who's scored fifteen this season and set up just as many. The fact we have two players like this - plus Malouda, who has 12 assists this season to go with his eight goals - makes us very lucky indeed. Alee. 182
Cant rule out Anelka's contributions. But its true how you most clubs have a similar thing with two/three players getting on the scorecard the most.
kakuta44 16
yes... all of that is completely true but thats not my point ...... let me rephrase ..... what i meant was unless drogba or lampard comes with a moment of brilliance i dont feel we can make any danger on opponents ...... so when kalou or joe cole or malouda or even anelka have the ball in thier feet in one on one situations with any defender the advantage is always to that defender ......when the ball drops perfectly in front of ballack or mikel even from 18 or 19 yards distance they never looked like scoring .....when the team is starting a counter attack and the ball is not in lampards feet to put the killer pass or the long ball no one does .... that was my point .... still think that's normal .......????????????? Wxgba 306
Anelka is less prominent when Drogba is in the team, but still pops up here and there, and is used more as a supplier than a goalscorer when Drogba's playing. However, when Drogba is absent, Anelka fills the void well and is capable of scoring goals up top.I don't think it's just Lampard and Drogba, it's just that they're two of our best players.
