Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo has raised the possibility of returning to Manchester United – but only once he has seen out his current deal at Real Madrid.

The 25-year-old quit Old Trafford last summer for a world record fee of £80m and while he is happy at the Bernabeu, Ronaldo also hankers after his old life in Manchester.

He said: "I played there for six years and that's a long time.

"I am still interested in watching Manchester United and, you never know, maybe in the future I could return to play there.

"It's always possible."

I thought we had only just got rid of him!!

I Personally I always feel a player going back to an old club is a bad idea, especially when they have performed so well in their previous spell. I think he should have a crack at Serie A after Madrid.
