Inter coach Jose Mourinho has admitted that Chelsea defender John Terry is the "best" captain he has worked with in his managerial career.

The Stamford Bridge outfit have a date with their Italian counterparts in the last 16 of the Champions League, as Carlo Ancelotti takes on a familiar foe as he visits a familiar bench at the San Siro on February 24.

Meanwhile, the Portuguese tactician believes that the Blues have what it takes to go all the way on the European stage, provided the Nerazzurri do not put an end to their dream.

"I won with Terry as captain. I think he's the best of all of them," Mourinho said, according to The Sun.

"Will Chelsea become European champions? Certainly. When? They're nearly there. If not this year, then next.

"But I'm ready to do anything to protect the club where I work.

"In football there is only one way of asserting yourself - winning. And I've always won."
