Things didn’t look so bright for Daniel Sturridge as he began his career at Chelsea. Yes, he did score on his debut against Seattle Sounders but with a calf injury he saw his first team place lost to fellow youngster, Fabio Borini.

The young Englishman’s season began when he came on against West Ham United to earn a penalty which secured a draw for the club. Since then he made 6 appearances and has scored 3 goals which is a 0.5 goal to match ratio.

With his excellent form in the FA Cup and being drawn against Cardiff Sturridge will most likely be having another start in his future. He has already mentioned that the FA Cup is the one tournament where the goals have flowed for him. However, he also highlighted that as long as the team keep progressing his goals don’t matter.

At the age of 31 and 30 Drogba and Anelka respectively the Chelsea front men have just seen their partnership flourishing over the course of this season. However, Daniel Sturridge has challenged the two to get things going before he comes in and starts showing off his skills.

His clinical finishing in the box is the mark of a great striker in the making. He has shown defenses that they better not leave him alone in the box or else he will make trouble.

The young man who posses great pace and great finishing also has given us fans some great goals and some great moments. His fantastic celebrations have made the largest of crowds go wild. At only 20 this man posses more than just talent, he has the ability to become a world class player and a striker who in the future will wreak havoc in future defenses.
