Matej Delac praises Chelsea stars for welcoming him to the club

Highly rated Croatian goalkeeper Matej Delac has been training with Chelsea for the last 15 days and has praised the stars at the club for welcoming him into the fold.

The 17-year-old custodian praised the Chelsea squad "for accepting me as if I was Lampard, Ballack or Terry."

Delac has been writing a blog for a Croatian newspaper and added that "it is unbelievable how normal everybody is. I see it every morning." He added that "training is very difficult where everyone gives 100 hundred per cent."

Delac also defended Petr Cech from the criticism that has been directed towards the Czech Republic custodian: "I think he did everything he could."

Good to see him settling in nicely. Not too clear at the moment of when he will join the club proper, stories say 2011 but that may have been because of the transfer ban. Good young keepers are hard to come by and he seems a very good prospect for his age.
