Ray. 217
Whenever I go into my hotmail account and in to my inbox, sent box, delted box etc..., I keep getting some sort of advertisement that covers up part of the right hand of the screen obscuring that part of the inbox, sent box etc.... Can anyone suggest how I can remove the advert as It's starting to really annoy me and i'm sure it wasn't there before.
Jessman 9
It sounds like you have a bit of Adware attatched to your PC mate, It isnt too hard to remove if you do it properly, and I will tell you how to do it.First of all do a Anti-spyware/adware scan of your computer, if you dont have one of the programs may I suggest Spybot: Search and Destroy? It is powerful, easy and best of all free. Here is a link to the official download site - http://www.safer-net...load/index.htmlAlso it wouldnt hurt clearing your cache and doing a quick registry scan which CCleaer does very well, I work as a computer technician and I cant reccomend that free program enough, I will put a link to it also.http://www.ccleaner.com/I hope that helped mate.If any of you guys need some help with PC's hardware or software, feel free to ask me. TBH I've never been that great with computers and I always feel when something like this happens, that i've pressed a button to trigger it off or ventured into a website that my computer doesn't like. Jessman 9
Not a problem... Yeah... Computers are horrid at times, especially with the Internet these days, make one wrong move and you have a computer full of crap, just play it safe and you will be fine. Also there is a nifty little program by McAfee which tells you if the site is safe or not.. It will appear as a green bar if safe, yellow if unsure and red if the site isnt trusted by them. It's not a must, but it certainly does help when your unsure about a websites security.http://www.siteadvisor.com/Good luck! and let me know how you go
