Sheva is 'Chelsea's Trojan horse'

Tuesday 26 May, 2009

There are reports that Andriy Shevchenko has played an important role in Milan Coach Carlo Ancelotti's talks with Chelsea.

It is widely believed that Ancelotti will leave the Rossoneri at the end of the season to take the Stamford Bridge hot seat.

An announcement is expected at the end of the season but the club are remaining tight-lipped.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea-owned striker Shevchenko has been a crucial mediator and translator between Ancelotti and Blues owner Roman Abramovich.

The Russian tycoon may have used Sheva as a middleman in order to keep his intentions quiet.

Shevchenko has spent the season on loan at San Siro but he may return to London with Carletto this summer.

Ancelotti is under contract with Milan until 2010, but he is expected to sign a three-year deal with Chelsea worth around £5m per season.

The stories around the Ancelotti appointment are becomming ludicrous. He hasn't helped matters with the comments from his book. I still don't believe that Ancelotti will be our new manager.
