Carlo Ancelotti has put Jermaine Pennant on his hit-list of transfer targets for Chelsea.

Ac Milan boss Ancelotti, Chelsea's manager-in-waiting, is an admirer of Pennant, 26, and wants to bring him in when he gets the nod to take over at Stamford Bridge.

Ancelotti offered Pennant a pre-contract in January to sign for AC Milan but the winger decided to see out his contract at Liverpool by joining Portsmouth on loan.

This just seems impossible to me. He's a mid table premiership player at best because of his consistency. Anyway ancellotti might not even be coming...
