Mancienne’s Wolves loan deal extended

Wolves have extended Michael Mancienne’s loan from Chelsea for another month - and are keen to keep him for the rest of the season.

The centre-back’s loan from Stamford Bridge has been extended until January 29.

Boss Mick McCarthy admitted his hopes of extending Mancienne’s stay beyond January rest with Chelsea manager Luiz Filipe Scolari.

“We’re extending it for another month,” said McCarthy today. “Michael has done very well and done everything I expected him to.

“He has been a good player and I am delighted to have him.”

Just what I was thinking. Besides, with JT out for the next three games due to suspension, Scolari will want all the cover he can get, especially now.
