EskWeston 696
We seem to be the only team that dont give youngsters a true chance to break through. Its something we have to think about. It will put off others coming to Chelsea. JT is the only one I can think of who has been given a chance (Maybe Jody Morris) to get a run in the first team before establishing themselves over the last 10 years or so. There has to be a reason for this. Are the current crop not good enough in the clubs eyes or are we playing it safe with already proven players? Definately playing it safe, we have some quality youngsters who would love the chance to show what they can do. Even Di Santo who impressed in pre season and who looked more than capable against Liverpool can't get chances and that is with only 1 of our other strikers available. I wouldn't be as dissapointed if Scolari hadn't been saying when he joined about how he was all for giving youngsters a chance, but he did and he has had the chances and not taken them. .Cee 50
Bruce Buck has come out and said he expects Mancienne to be part of the first team soon. Does he usually keep his words?
