Paul1970 250 Posted April 19, 2014 Share Posted April 19, 2014 Beano stuff.In England you don't have club press.There are the fan zones now and the forums but in the old years you had no such newspapers.So there is no "Liverpool news" in the stands nor "Arsenal news".When first came to London I showed the fans some Greek newspapers with colour covers -like Sun more or less- and they said wow look at that. At around the same time Baines had sold Charlie Cook to Newcastle so I said "come here you, why London ain't burning yet ?" to which an elderly Chelsea supporter replied "listen here young man, Charlie Cooke played for us so why not play for Newcastle as well ?".Reminiscences ...But this one Liverpool guy foots the bill for the proverbial "Sid and Doris Bonkers" award.Terry will jump into the Mersey he fancies ...Eh!
