the wes 7,212
Boca Juniors are waiting to see if Chelsea follow up their interest in Rodrigo Palacio with a firm bid this summer. The Argentinian side are planning to bring Jose Maria Calvo back from a loan spell with Recreativo de Huelva and are likely to be open to offers for Palacio. Boca have insisted they want a sizeable fee for the 26-year-old but a deal can be done if the Champions League semi-finalists make their move. "At the moment, Palacio is at Boca and has a contract until 2010," stated president Pedro Pompilio to Radio La Red. "There is no official offer but some people from Chelsea did come to watch him play against Colo Colo. "Rodrigo wants to win titles with Boca and it's certain that he is currently focused on us and nobody else." The Argentina forward is one option if the West Londoners sell Didier Drogba during the close season but there is unlikely to be too much transfer business conducted whilst the uncertainty continues to surround coach Avram Grant's position.
