Mikel, Essien, Lampard would be my ideal pick, with Lampard the furthest forward and Mikel holding. With Essien naturally defensive at club level, he and Mikel can alternate and we can give either player a rest by fielding Makelele. The same can be said with Ballack - he can be alternated with Lampard to give either a rest.

The choices we have are great and it means we can always field a world class midfield and at the same time keep players fresh. Getting the Balance is going to be hard though i feel.

Well these superstars know they are not going to be first choice, and its the players who try the hardest in training and on the field that will get the starting positions. Saying that, being able to put on Michael Ballack and Nicolas Anelka when you need a goal is quite a tasty prospect.
