CareFreeChronic 238
Liverpool are defensively sound but are finding it hard to score goals. This game could be a tactical showdown between 4-4-2 and 4-3-3, with an intriguing battle for dominance in the midfield. Chelsea will need to be patient in breaking down Liverpool's defense while being aware of the threat the Reds pose from their left flank. Here's my scout report.http://carefreechronicles.blogspot.com/2011/11/chelsea-opposition-scout-report_17.htmlCheers!
termninja 5,290
lolwe are great in attack and bad in defense while Liverpool are bad in attack but good in defense I doubt they'll go for 4-4-2, Kenny will be afraid. We'll probably see 5-4-1 or 4-5-1 with Suarez upfront while Carroll will be there where he belongs - on the bench. I didn't watch Liverpool too much this season so I could be mistaken, but I doubt it.Good article again. I'd love to see you post a bit more on the forum, I really enjoy your articles

They did use that formation against Manchester United (http://www.zonalmarking.net/2011/10/15/liverpool-1-1-manchester-united/). But Dalglish has used the same starting XI and the same line up (4-4-2) for the last two games. I'm only going off of that.Cheers.

BlueLion. 21,491
This could be one of those games that ends up either 0-0 or 4-4; either a conservative approach (which is in my opinion the best course of action to take) or an all-out attacking policy will be adopted, in which case Liverpool - who are excellent on the counter-attack with Downing and Suarez being pacey and skilful - will be able to exploit the gaps in our midfield. We will need a resolute defensive performance, and will need to maintain positional discipline, especially the full-backs and the CDM, who I think should be Mikel.
