Edmonton's got a shit FO. Dudes don't have a clue how to run a NHL team. They've got the prospects but no veterans, no real leaders and IMO Edmonton should've traded some of their offensive talents for a No. 1 defender. Probably gonna be a tough season again for you guys

I 100% agree. All the GM has to do is pick the top pick in the draft pool, then botch another season for to get the other one. If they finish the season dead last again I'll probably just boycott them for a season cause of how frustrating they are to watch. They say it takes a while to rebuild a team with ypung talent, but they've been sayig that for far too many years. We do have vets, but they are underachieving =/

Oh wow didn't see this thread. I'm a Hockey nut. Mom is Canadian so it's been bred into me I guess!! SO glad the lockout's over.

The game is in our blood. Seriously, Canadians are obsessed with hockey. I lost interest for a while when my Jets moved (stupid Bettman, Americans in warm climates don't care about hockey!!!) but was ecstatic to get them back. Good young team. Probably a couple of years away. Living in Toronto and watching the Leafs fail every year is pure joy.

Of course, Fleury's goal was against their biggest rivals in overtime in the playoffs not in the 3rd game of the season.

This is my favourite all-time celebration. ((And it makes me sentimental. Winnipeg versus Quebec and I miss the blue instead of yellow along the boards. Only two arenas had that. Now, none do).

Been browsing through some American and Canadian sites and it seems not everyone liked Yakupov's celebration. Some of them believe it was disrespectful smh.

It would've been nostalgic to see Selänne playing his last season for the Jets in Winnipeg. Back there where everything started.

I have an autographed picture of Sellane from his rookie year. Would have been great seeing back in Winnipeg, but he'll always be appreciated there anyway. (76 goals for a rookie!!!). I understand why people didn't like Yakupov's celebration. It was very over the top for what was a fairly small goal in the scheme of things. A celebration that side should be reserved for a goal that makes a huge difference. I mean, you have to leave some room to go more crazy, right?

I remember when Foppa returned for a brief comeback just to play for Colorado again. The comeback didn't last long, just a couple of games, but it was brilliant to see him in the burgundy and blue uniform again nevertheless. I love these kinda stories.

That's what I don't really understand. He's a top-prospect (the expectations are sky high), he scores a goal with just a few secs remaining (his first important goal too) and then he shouldn't celebrate like a crazy mofo? I see where you are coming from but sometimes it's your emotions that take over.

Well, he can still do a flip if he ever scores a game-winning goal in the 4th OT of the 7th game in a final series

Fox sports had a tough time to, so they introduced the puck glow in 1996.......which didn't last long cause it looked ridiculous.

It can be hard to track sometimes, but you know where it is most of the time after years of watching haha.
