Gianfranco Zola is poised for a scouting and recruitment role with the Magpies

The former Chelsea star will reportedly be based in Italy as part of Dennis Wise's new network at St James' Park.

Zola currently works with the Italian Under-21 side as assistant coach, a position he is likely to retain.

it could happen because dennis wise and zola are very good friends but i wish Chelsea could hire him because its nice to have former players at your club

I doubt this will happen. Zola has a good role as it is and has always stated his desire to coach his national team.
