Salomon Kalou has credited John Terry for pulling the team together in the wake of Luiz Felipe Scolari's sacking. The 23-year-old said that the team spirit instilled by the Chelsea captain will pull the club through any crises caused by the departure of a manager. Guus Hiddink is the fourth boss Kalou has played under since he came to Stamford Bridge, but the Ivorian forward claimed the frequent changes do not disrupt the squad due to Terry's calming influence. "The Chelsea family is so strong that It feels like the family I have back home," Kalou told The Sun. "Over the past two years we have had so many problems and there always seems to be a new manager, but as players we have been there for each other. "John Terry pushes us on. He has great spirit and cares for everyone." Encouragement Kalou revealed that after a manager leaves, the team arrange a clear-the-air meeting, led by the 28-year-old skipper. He also hailed Terry's protective instincts, saying he deals with problems within the squad like an 'older brother'. "Every time a manager goes we talk together and sort it out. If you have a captain who leads the team you don't need a manager to put everyone together, the captain does it," Kalou added. "He always asks you if you are OK and encourages you and says: 'Don't worry, make sure you are right - we need you.' That's what you want to hear from your captain. You know he's counting on you and thinking about you. "If there is no one there to do that then you have real problems. You need that man between the manager and the players. "If I have a problem I go to John and I know he will protect me. He is like an older brother. "We live as family and of course sometimes there are arguments but we resolve them between us. That's how it is." SKY

Guus relishing Reds clash Chelsea boss does not fear Liverpool Guus Hiddink has insisted he has no worries about facing Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League. Friday's draw in Nyon pitted Chelsea against Rafa Benitez's Reds for a fifth successive year and Hiddink is looking forward to the tie. He accepts that the Blues will have to beat all the best sides on the continent if they are to win the competition. "It gets more and more exciting at the end of the Champions League season. You think I want to play this team or that team," Hiddink said on Sky Sports News. "But you have to play them all. If you have the great desire to get to the end in May then you have to play them all, whether it is Liverpool or Man Utd or Barcelona. "I am okay with the draw." Hiddink is relishing the challenge of taking part in an all-Premier League showdown, which is set to attract interest from around the globe. He said: "I was told there were a lot of clashes between them (Chelsea and Liverpool) in several competitions, which of course I knew from a distance. "These clashes are so well received worldwide that it is good for football I think." Sky -

Oh diouf too i cant stand the arrogant wanka -
Yeah! ill be honest with you i have seen the young man play but than again i dont see him play every game. He does seem to be quite talented on the ball and seems to have a good eye for goal. By all means lets give it a go but like i said he would have to prove to himself and everyone else that he has what it takes.
-
See but you cannot guarantee that. You make it sounds like Kalou is a bad player, he actually has improved quite a bit this season and when he was getting continues play time he looked very threatening going forward so i would have to disagree with you on that, as i think it has taken him quite a long time to get more experienced in his position and i think it would be the same with Da costa. Malouda i have got no argument with because my cat could do more than what he has done this season...
-
Personally i think he is doing a really good job as i am sure most of you agree. A lot of the players seem to respect him which is good to see because it seems the last couple of managers that we have had have failed to communicate with the players like Guss has. In today's papers it seems that there are rumors going around that he is considering staying at Chelsea but i am not looking to much into at the moment because who knows what going to happen. I would love to see him stay with Chelsea as i think he can bring a lot to the club but i guess that all depends on him at the end of the day. I think if he was to stay do you think he would get a bit more confidence from the board than our previous managers? We all know how close Roman is with him do you think this could be good sign? If he was to stay and he had a bad season do you think he would be given more time than jose, avram and phill? I am curious in seeing what everyone else is looking for at this stage. As the season is not over ye i think it would be very smart if Chelsea did everything they can to get him to continue next season. What do you guys think?
-
I guess it would be a good idea. But to be honest i dont make them enough to get involved. Maybe more sig of the month lol. But i guess i might try a little harder if there was something like this on and i might learn a bit more doing it.

Players You'd Like to Kick the Shit out of

Gerrard i hate him with a passion. -
These players are all very young, they can not just come into a team like Chelsea and expect them to be superstars. Its a totally different ball park, playing for just a small club than to come to the big leagues. Sure they can go through our reserves and try to get a name for themselves there and move on to the seniors slowly but who knows how long that could take. They need to find the confidence in there own ability. Until our youth does start to get bigger and better we need players who are experienced, and i personally believe the players in the age group of around 22 to 27 are the players we need to look for. At any of these ages we can still get atleast 4 seasons from them without them ageing to much and possibly become stars for us. But one thing that we need to stop doing is purchasing 30+ year olds because they cannot be around forever and they start to loose what they once had.
-
It doesnt happen but, Us born Australians get looked at my some people over here like its there land. You make one bad move and some people will put you 2 feet under. Personally it hasn't happened to me, but a couple of weeks ago my best mate got attacked by 5 Sudanese teenagers and stole all of his personal belongings. He did not do anything to deserve this attack it just happened. I think if things like this continue something has to be done, and i think they should be sent back to there own countries if they continue to target different cultures.
-
You cannot justhave a team of 18 19 20 21 year olds that would be so pointless. We would end up like arsenal who are a very inconsistent bunch of players. For the main reason that they are no experienced enough to be playing day in and day out like they do. Our "30 year olds" are very consistant actually, sure we had a bad run but that was with a total dick as a manger who was more clueless than avram. So to be fair to our players there are only a certain few we should be looking to off load. I also do not understand how you could not want anyone over the age of 24, some of the best players in the world are aged between 24 to 29. Im not saying lets go straight for the best players but it would be idiotic not to look into potential signings in that age category.

Thanks Alex, keep doing your stuff week in and week out much appreciated

pfft get out of here you scum bags, go find your own talent

Who Do You Wanna See Replace The 30+ Players?
Steve replied to chelsea_4_eva's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I never said we have to sign them all i said potential signings im looking at the big picture not just sticking to one player that we have to sign!!!!!!!! -
