I know Taison, have seen him playing in Brazilian league. Above average/good player. His level is probably close to Sturridge's, except that he's more of a second striker. I admit I haven't seen him performing lately (in the last 2-3 years), though. So I could be wrong.

In Brazil many revolutions were led by elite. There were some popular ones, but the ones that really mattered were mostly going on for the rich. The rest of latin america is different. People think "Latin America" like everything is the same. But Brazil is very different from the rest. Beginning by the fact we don't speak spanish nor were colonized by Spain.

Mostly poor people, I agree. Some believe we don't really have prejudice with black, they say we just associate blacks to poverty. I think there's some truth in that assumption, but there is more to it than that. And brazilians treat foreign people very very well because we have the feeling they're rich and well-educated, when people find they're not it's not quite the same. At least that's what I saw here with some spanish I knew.
