I am pretty sure he is going. And i can definitely see him playing up there just in front of suarez and he will probably do really well.
-
We would be the biggest idiots in europe if we go into february with 1 striker in torres, so someone will be coming in up top. Now whether they go for a big name to "replace" torres, or go for a player to compete with torres like a sort of demba ba type of player or whether we get a youngster to be the number 2 is up for debate... I extremely hope it is a replacement, or at least someone who will be given a chance to compete with Fernando as lukaku is our youngster for the future.
-
Relax people we will win this. They will probably get some sendings off... I am extremely confident, bounce back win and get back on track.

We have other options.... (Continuing the sarcasm in this thread ) Oh wait, sturridge is gone...

http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/andy-goldsteins-sports-bar/121219/jenson-falcao-wont-move-until-end-season-187692?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Podcast-Chelsea+%28Podcast+-+Club+-+Chelsea%29 Apparently this bloke doesn't reckon he will be sold in january, because atletico won't sell him in january but he has a buyout clause meaning if you meet that and can agree personal terms then it doens't matter what atletico think... Time will tell, and this one will rumble on til deadline day if we don't get him before then.

My prediction is we will sign Falcao in january, Sturridge to Liverpool. Torres will stay. We will also sign Walcott, and Ashley will go to psg (hope the last one doesn't happen).
-
So you hold your left nut in higher regard... Interesting, i am sure @leif will have something to say about that as he loves this sort of thing...
-
Hopefully if its as done as people say it is, then more info should start to leak and then the ball will start to roll on. Still will switch off my laptop and wake up tommorrow and hope to read some positive encouraging news.... TORRES SIGNS NEW 5 YEAR DEAL
-
I bet its the falcao part... Torres showing him the ropes is a bit like the blind leading the blind.
-
Unfortunately i think danny will be amazing at liverpool. Get lots of chances, won't be under enormous pressure, and will be able to show his talent, and will push into the england team. He would/will never fully make it here as we will always want someone else and he doesn't deserve/want to be a no 2. I would rather he be the number 2 if we sign falcao or any other hugher profile striker for that matter, but the boy wants game time and that is fair enough. It would be best for his career to go elsewhere, though would be a great signing for liverpool unfortunately.
-
Shit, bye sturridge, i wish you luck, but not at looserpool.
-
Would rather have them in our favour than not though... And yeah i can name you a shit load of times that an evens or worse shot has lost, but i can name you more 7/1 or higher shots that have lost...
-
Oh yeah, 100% agree, in fact i can see it as in all honesty they look like a team he would be much more suited to. I am pretty sure he will become a great player if he left and would be another regret of ours. But if they offer good money then we would get some cash and it would be better for danny's career as i can't ever see him being our number one. We will probably sell him to looserpool for like 10 mil, then in 2 years buy him back for 35mil. It honestly wouldn't surprise me that much.
-
Yeah but i think we don't want to read too much into that just yet, as the rumours have probably caused many people to lump on it and they are just covering themselves rather than an actual true indication of it happenning. Still a positive sign to see and when it gets to 9/1-on then we can start celebrating, or of this thread has 150 viewers...
-
Who said guillem balague said that it was happenning because i just saw a vid and if anything it looked like he was dismissing reports saying there is no news of anything except that the president bloke wants him to go to real madrid. Vid: http://www.skysports.com/video/inline/0,,16995_8341789,00.html Shows brilliance vs barca and also what guillem said at the end.
-
Yeah not much point in torres sitting on the bench gathering dust, as some would put it... I think if we do sign him, then it would be time to just move on and accept it, and see if we can get close to 30 mil for him from somewhere. Lukaku would be a great number 2 i think, if he can keep improving, especially his first touch and would be very useful. If we do buy a striker whomever it may be i see it more likely for danny to go to liverpool , which would be bad for us as i think he would do really well there, and get lots of game time and get goals.
-
Come on, i really hope this is true. Every single player we ever sign have no guarentee of being a success but you cannot deny that the signs would be very promising. Also on the getting a cl qualification spot, i would be 99% confident of getting one with falcao as our number one as our attacking 4 would be extremely good, with whatever central mid or defensive problems we may have. With torres i still think we can get top 4 and i think we will if falcao doesn't come. Also it would give a new impetus and i think perk up a lot of people in the team who must be getting fairly frustrated at times with torres, as they are the ones running in support and feeding him or trying to. As has bee said millions of times already. Falcao doesn't solve all our problems but it would definitely be a big positive and a mass improvement in the striker department. Just had a scary thought.... We sign falcao , then rafa benches him and starts torres all the time
-
10 blokes and torres, who will score a hat-trick, will be proclaimed to be back, we will pull out the falcao deal, and get relegated. Optimism
-
Yeah but i think alot of their asking prices would rapidly increase when they see us coming as everyone does... I.e. If we purchased van persie it would have been a lot more than 24 million etc. He definitely won't solve all our problems but it should fix one big problem, and we know what a great striker can give you... Just ask united...
-
Sorry mate, was offline... Basically, 6/4 means you put 4 on to win 6... But you also get the money you put on back. so if you bet £4, and it happenned you would get 10 back... Then man city are 6/1 meaning you get 6x your bet. So if you bet £4.00 you would get £28.00 back. 10/1 would be £44.00 etc. This means we are the favourites, and at 33/1 liverpool are the outsiders.
-
I Odds in case anyone is interested, as the bookies generally are the ones who have a pretty good gist of what is going on. For all the real madrid talk 12/1 seems high, but apparently he has been "urged not to go there".... If he goes to liverpool then some crazy shit is going on

http://www.nationalturk.com/en/chelsea-transferradamel-falcao-refuse-real-madrid-and-accept-chelsea-offer-breaking-news-30582 National turk seems like its just jumping on the bandwagon but what the hell may as well add the link... On the FFP front, that is for roman and co to worry about, and as i posted in another thread i am sure they no exactly what they are doing and wouldn't risk big fines by breaking it.
-
If we get him i reckon torres could be going to anzi or somewhere where he will get a lot of money and will boost the image of a club when a big name goes there. Also i can't see any manager not incorporating a player like falcao into their plans, but your right he would be a perfect sort of striker for guardiola to work with.
-
Would love this to be true. People saying it will be another torres or sheva situation, i would disagree. OBVIOUSLY, with every transfer there is a chance of it flopping so i am not saying it definitely won't happen but there is less chance. For example we signed torres at a time when he wasn't playing well with everyone thinking its just a bad spell, he is not happy there any more and wants a change etc. Falcao is quality and in the form of his life. Obviously this could result in people overhyping it and expecting miracles early on but just because he might not be amazing in his first season doesn't mean he will be a flop. Would love it to be true though i hope we arn't paying astronomical fees to porto, but it would be a very happy day for everyone associated the club especailly the "supply line" (except maybe torres). We had this sort of thing with HULK though in the summer every day so i will wait til there is at least some sources that are genuinely relieable before i get myself too excited. But at least there is talk about it still which makes me want to believe it a little more.
