Will chelsea play with the star or not?

Can anyone say with absolute certainty whether that chelsea next season with that star on that shirt will play or not? If so, for every match or just for the ucl matches? Can anyone perhaps to be sure to ask someone in a chelsea shop? I'm not from England. (my apologies for the bad English)

Are the new chelsea shirts with the star for each match used, only for the champions league matches or is it just a souvenir?

Can anyone clarify whether the chelsea players next season (12/13) in all competitions that gold star on their shirt to wear or that they will only attract champions league matches? I plan to buy a shirt, but do not know what. ( my apolagies for the bad enlish)
