  1. He shouldn't be a target for Chelsea, he's a small upgrade from Mikel and that isn't worth the +20M £ pricetag. Most people wrongly judge him because they think he's an AM or SS but he's a DM who you can use in a plan B. Compared to the other DMs of the EPL he has the best stats by a landslide, not to mention that his stats are tanked by often playing up front. For him to flourish you need a deep lying playmaker next to him who knows when to stay back so he can rush up front. I've only seen the best Fellaini in a handful of matches at Everton, back at Standard Liège he was outstanding week in week out but he was part of a phenomenal triangle with Witsel ( Zenit ) & Defour ( Porto ).
  2. He was a shadow on the field, nothing more that can be said about it, his normal performance for the national team.
  3. It's funny how people are surprised about this, winning the CL was a fluke just like Greece in 2004. Chelsea didn't beat the other teams, the other teams failed to beat Chelsea. RDM has never had a gameplan, it couldn't be any more obvious for you. The players are just running around not knowing their spot, yea that might work with experienced players like you had last year but when you're building a new team they don't have these automatisms, you need someone with a strong grip and clear vision.

  5. He's been converted to a CB because his technical game was absolute shite not to mention his shots that were closer to the cornerflags than goalposts. He's doing well at Anderlecht but the Belgian league is absolute bollocks, he's still shaky and still makes many mistakes but he might be a worldclass player in the future, I reckon that would take atleast 5 years. So no, not Chelsea material at all he needs to take many steps before he can even consider competing for a spot at that level.
  6. Except that it wasn't Heitinga and Mathijsen ... you would have known because they would actually challenge him in a high ball and he wouldn't have controlled any of them. It seemed like he was playing against kids again with all respect to Viergever who I actually rate very high. Lukaku's problem is that he never spend enough time on his technical abilities because he could just overpower everyone in the youth even though he was playing against elder opponents, he was a BEAST. He was 100kg of pure muscle when he arrived at Chelsea. It will take some time before he's any good but the potential is surely there, although I don't believe in letting him lose all his muscles, he doesn't need to be another Sturridge and this for me is why he hasn't done so well as expected.
  7. Well he never showed it for the Belgian squad, this was a fairly normal game for him. The only bit of difference is that usually he ball-jerks a bit more on the side slowing the game, luckily he didn't get the ball that much keeping the pace in the game. He's a great player but you need the right system for him to flourish, if I was the national coach I wouldn't even call him up. I would put Chadli / Mertens / De Bruyne in his position before I would consider him, hell even Legear can have a go for me. I'm sure he'll do great for Chelsea in the future but he'll need time, the referees also need time to actually see that he doesn't dive just because he's a technical player.
  8. If you've seen any of the Belgium games you know they aren't.Yes people are being ridiculous, he is a very good player but he also has his limits. He's not a bruteforcer and that's what people are expecting from him.
