  1. If we have great options out wide, then by all means, send CHO to the reserves to rot etc. But we don't and he's still better than the alternatives like Kenedy, Piazon etc.
  2. Guessing Kenedy and Palmer are just there to make up the numbers since we don't have CHO and Willian yet.
  3. The squad in Japan... https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2019/07/16/touchdown-in-tokyo?cardIndex=0-0 Kepa Arrizabalaga Willy Caballero Jamie Cumming Cesar Azpilicueta David Luiz Davide Zappacosta Kurt Zouma Marcos Alonso Andreas Christensen Emerson Fikayo Tomori Kenedy N’Golo Kante Jorginho Danny Drinkwater Tiemoue Bakayoko Ross Barkley Mateo Kovacic Mason Mount Kasey Palmer Pedro Michy Batshuayi Olivier Giroud Tammy Abraham Christian Pulisic
  4. But he still performed and we reaped the benefits, no? Like I alluded to in the initial reply, we practically only have 4 wingers at the moment, including CHO. If we don't play him just because he doesn't want to sign a new contract, then we're practically 1 injury away from flogging the other 2 to death. Unless he starts to stink up the place, I don't see what's the point of dropping him...unless of course, you want to see the likes of Piazon, Kenedy in the XI week in week out! Anyway, I really don't get this constant paranoia on CHO's contract situation. Like, we don't even know the exact situation regarding it and people are jumping on him just because he hasn't signed one. If he's going to sign it, then he'll sign it eventually, whenever that may be. If he doesn't, then kinda like what Tomo said, whatever. We deal with it and move on.
  5. You’re missing the point. This is about the attitude, nothing to do with the players’ ability. CHO could have easily sulked when we turned down the Bayern move but he didn’t, and performed whenever selected. Same case with Hazard when we made him stay last year - he didn’t sulk, helped us finish in the top 4 and win the Europa League, and had his best season, stats wise, with us.
  6. Unless CHO shows bad attitude etc, I don't see what's the point of this, especially when our squad isn't greatly filled with wingers at the moment. He still performed every time he played last season, after the Bayern interest came in and even after we reportedly turned down his transfer request. Similarly to Hazard's case last year, he wasn't going to sign a new contract (hell, he dragged the situation on for ages before his final decision was confirmed) but he didn't "check out", did he?
  7. Guess it's human's nature to pay more attention to the things that conform to their fears (or something alone those lines ).
  8. True but he was the only one and on hindsight, it was definitely the right decision to sell him. But with CHO? Probably not and how sure are people that he even wants to leave and won't sign a new contract? Would see how things play out over the coming weeks before jumping on him etc. It's easy to assume that he should just sign the new contract because Hazard has left and his playing time will increase but from his perspective, he would likely want to hear it from Lampard himself on his plans, how he's going to use him etc before committing. I mean given our poor track record of developing young players and tendency to change manager almost every year, can you really blame him if he's approaching this matter a bit cautiously? Would like to think that if some of you were in a similar situation, you would likely think carefully and want to be convinced before committing your future.
  9. Marina has never really sold players against the manager's wishes, has she?
  10. 1. TBF, the story above is reported by Daily Mail, aka Daily Fail. 2. We only have 4 wingers right now, including CHO. We aren't going to sell him and leave ourselves short with the ongoing transfer ban. Would be stupid. 3. Pretty sure Hasan Salihamidzic, Bayern's sporting director, is the one who's desperate to make his mark and sign him as opposed to Rummenigge and/or Hoeness the ones being keen.
