Last week, Lampard brought on an additional defender in Alonso to help see out the game at Norwich but didn't do that with Christensen yesterday. It's kinda bizarre really.

I don't want to sit here and scream that Lampard should be our next manager for the next 10 years but if we keep on sacking managers like EVERY YEAR, we'll soon end up with the Alan Pardews and Sam Allardyces of this world as our manager.

Not saying Azpi was faultless for the goals yesterday but it's getting utterly comical that people think a 19-year-old who's never played football above the Championship is gonna come in and solve our defensive problems and won't make mistakes at all.

He no longer has that going for him either. I haven't seen him put in a shift since Mourinho was sacked. Wonder if he will down tools this season - some might say he already has for few seasons. His good buddy Hazard has already left and we binned his other good buddy Luiz.

I said it in another post, I expected this season to be filled with ups and downs but we shouldn't be dropping points against lesser/limited sides like Sheffield United, certainly not when we were 2-0 up at HOME and at half time. If it was against Man City, Liverpool or even Wolves or Leicester, you could still make an excuse for the result but against a side that will likely finish in the lower region of the table, that's just not acceptable. Even Lampard said so himself after the match. If we're gonna start throwing away points, 2-0 leads against the Sheffield Uniteds of this world, then god help us all.

Overall, it's almost baffling that we played poorly from the start. Had a week to rest and prepare and we played sloppily throughout the match. Didn't even put them under any serious pressure.

Usually, you stay calm and offer perspective while everyone else, whether rightly or wrongly, loses their mind over a bad result. But not this time, although I don't blame you. We definitely shouldn't be dropping points against sides like Sheffield United.

It definitely remains to be seen and it's kind of a mess as well, going from Conte's style to Sarri's style to Lampard's style in the space of 3 seasons.

Talking about dictating tempo and passing from the back, thought Jorginho was awful with his long passes.

Luiz may or may not have helped. Biggest problem IMO is our defensive organization as a unit. Players are just running around with aimless pressing, spaces being left here and there, no one is covering for others. Opposing teams are finding holes in the side far too easily. We are simply not playing as a unit in defensive situations.

If you think we should have kept Luiz, just say it directly. Don't need to beat around the bush...

Lampard also Jorginho is a leader and he goes missing in defensive situations.

We've become like Arsenal. We can't dig in to get a result anymore. Crack at the slightest bit of pressure.
