  1. Flat is one way of putting it. It’s as though we don’t practice attacking patterns, don’t do something a bit more sophisticated than just dumping crosses into the box. Where’s that bit of creativity? Where’s the ingenuity?
  2. It wasn’t a bad contribution but it doesn’t mean it’s acceptable. He will be judged on scoring the goals at the end of the day. When you play for a big club, there’ll always be scrutiny.
  3. Yes, they can. What would be the point anyway? They are nearing the end of their contract and would have little motivation. And they have been alienated to the point of no return.
  4. You’re right but that’s a bit like praising Torres for working hard when he did F all in terms of scoring. At the end of the day, Abraham is a striker. He needs to score goals. That’s the reality. I know he’s still young and all that but he has really missed some guilt edge opportunities this season. Yesterday’s first half header and the 1-on-1 against Liverpool at the Bridge come to mind. He’s not the only problem but he’s one of the main problems why we aren’t putting chances away and killing teams off.
  5. It doesn't excuse Abraham's profligacy in front of goal. The criticism might be harsh but the fact is, he is a striker and we need him to score goals but he's missing far too many clear opportunities and seemingly need 10 chances to get 1 goal. It's poor.
  6. Had the same, long conversation with someone on Twitter the other day! You are not wrong but on the other hand, if we sort out the attacking issues down the other hand, we would not have to worry too much about conceding. If attacking players don't score, they indirectly put pressure on the defence. If the defence can't defend, they indirectly put pressure on the attackers to score. I'm genuinely curious to see who we're targeting to replace Caballero. Promote Cumming to #2 or buy someone else? If it's the former, it might be worth to just throw him into the fire right now. Can't be any worse than Kepa at this point!
  7. Funnily enough, Kepa's replacement at Athletic Bilbao - Unai Simon - is posting better numbers than him right now.
  8. I feel like our attacking play, especially against packed defences, has been become too predictable. It's essentially morphed into dumping crosses into the box and hoping someone somehow converts those crosses. We're hardly opening teams up anymore through passing moves. If you look at the goals we scored in the last 10 Premier League games, it is concerning when you look at how they have come about: Arsenal - Penalty - Cross from short corner (IIRC) Newcastle - X Burnley - Penalty - Goalkeeper error - Cross Brighton - Corner Arsenal - Goalkeeper error - Counter attack Southampton - X Spurs - Individual brilliance - Penalty Bournemouth - X Everton - Individual brilliance Aston Villa - Cross - Individual brilliance
  9. lol That's like saying Fabregas, Nasri, Van Persie etc would have been successful had they stayed at Arsenal instead of going elsewhere.
  10. Hull City 1-2 Chelsea PRE/POST-MATCH DISCUSSION, LIVE CHAT AND ANALYSIS 2019/20 FA Cup 4th Round 25th January, Saturday 2020 KCOM Stadium 17:30 Kick Off (UK time)
  11. Costa has been hopeless since returning to Atletico. Only 14 goals scored in 59 games and he has had injury problems. We sold him at the right time. The main problem, like always, is that we didn't find someone who is actually good to replace him.
  12. Batshuayi is completely hopeless and ridiculously bad. Anyone who thinks he's good or needs to be given a chance needs to have their brain check.
  13. We're basically at the point where putting anyone in will result in something disastrous.
  14. Given your moaning record on here, I highly doubt it.
  15. At this point, just play Caballero or Jamie Cumming. Can't be any worse!
  16. What? CHO was actually good in the first half but faded in the second half. Willian was being Willian, nothing new there.
  17. Does it really matter? The fact of the matter is, we have been chopping and changing managers far too often to build any sort of success. People always like to moan about the manager, want him gone and all that but at the same time, feel envy about Liverpool or Man City. Fucking hypocrites!
  18. I know Abraham is still young and all but he misses far too many clear opportunities and there was at least another one today. He will never be a top striker if he's not clinical with chances, which he needs like 10 now to even get 1 goal.
  19. In theory, it may sound fine but you would be lying if you say you won't complain at all when things start to go shit and all that. It happened with Mourinho and Conte, both manages with good CV. What's to guarantee the same thing won't happen with Pochettino or any other manager?
  20. No shit but we certainly do this sacking and hiring far too often compared to most other clubs. It's tiring and exhausting. No wonder we haven't been able to build any consistent success over the last decade. Success in one season, then crisis in the next.
