  1. I guess but it doesn't change the fact that they managed to take points off us in at least one game in 2014/15, 2016/17, 2017/18 and 2018/19. We have dropped points against them in 4 of the last 10 matches. That's basically almost half of it.
  2. Define "good record" - points dropped against Burnley or matches lost against Burnley? Because last season was the first time since 2009/10 that we did the league double over them. In the seasons between - whenever they were in the Premier League - we dropped points against them in at least 1 of the 2 league games.
  3. Well, Mourinho made 4 changes at HT and then threw the team under the bus post-match...
  4. Gonna jump the gun and say Chilwell is a potential future Chelsea captain (or at least vice-captain).
  5. Err, that's nothing new? When teams have to play every 3-4 days, the focus in between games is always focused more on recovery than training. Managers don't have much room to do training like they would want to in normal circumstances. If/when we have muscle injuries this season, it'll likely be because of someone has played too many games etc, like we have seen with other clubs.
  6. Your favorite kind of stat, @NikkiCFC...
  7. Wonder if this will boost the Burnley players mentally/psychologically...
  8. First time we kept 3 consecutive clean sheets in all competitions since April 2019.
  9. They weren't clear cut in the sense that there were bodies in the way. But otherwise, agree with the sentiment and it's a reason why the goals scored tally isn't the same as the xG. Am sure you are aware that xG metric is basically a basic indicator of how well the team perform in attack. Yesterday's xG may not reflect what actually happened on the field but the xG in the games against Sevilla (0.4) and Man United (0.2) certainly did, given how awful we were going forward.
  10. If including the penalties, then the xG is 2.8. xG basically judges the quality of chances. The goal Pulisic scored and shots from Ziyech weren't exactly clear cut chances, TBF.
  11. I guess. But 1 win in 7 is still not great to say the least.
  12. Pirlo hasn't started well at Juventus...
  13. If I got the permutations right, 6 points from 6 against Rennes in the next 2 games will be enough to see us through to the UCL R16 (before we go to Sevilla on MD5), unless Sevilla lose both games against Krasnodar.
  14. TBF, we had that 4-0 loss there last season. And we have beaten Solskjaer's United only ONCE in 7 games.
  15. Sevilla have beaten Rennes in the other group game. Absolutely steamrolled them but won only 1-0.
  16. IT'S THE PENALTY STYLE! NOT ABOUT THE CONVERSION RATE HERE!
  17. OOOOKAY...WTH IS THIS NONSENSE FROM LEIPZIG!?
  18. United with 6 points from 6 against PSG and RB Leipzig. Looks like 1 of PSG or Leipzig would be heading to the Europa League...
  19. Looks likely given how the games have gone. Can only hope that we beat Rennes in the next two games because that will be enough to secure our progress to the R16 before we go to Sevilla.
