  1. Krasnodar have equalized against Sevilla. 1-1.
  2. As it stands, we are going through to the Last 16...
  3. Some of them also started pressing aimlessly. E.g. see what Mount did in the move that led to the late Rennes free kick.
  4. Anyone noticed Werner sliding behind the wall on that last Rennes FK? lol
  5. Willian's stats on the new Football Manager game.
  6. Part of me is glad to see fans back at the stadium soon but another part of me feels this is somewhat rushed, when the pandemic is still ongoing and the vaccines aren't exactly ready yet. Here's hoping the league and clubs will handle the fans' return properly and not have any sudden outbreak happen in stadiums etc.
  7. The thing with Abraham and Giroud is that they each have something that the other person lacks. For instance, Abraham's hold-up play isn't quite as good as Giroud (yet, maybe) but Giroud doesn't have Abraham's pace and mobility. Based on how Lampard wants us to play, having pace, mobility, agility etc is important and given he is also trying to build a team for the future, it's also clear why Abraham is preferred over Giroud. Giroud was never going to be part of our long term plan, especially where being first choice is concerned.
  8. The Athletic on Giroud... https://theathletic.com/2213873/2020/11/23/giroud-balogun-forss-williams/?source=emp_shared_article
  9. Not even sure if Salah is the ideal comparison given he primarily plays on the flanks... The funny thing here is, one of the main reasons Werner is being played so much on the left right now is because of Pulisic's injury and the fact that Lampard doesn't fully trust CHO. Had Pulisic been fit, Werner would have likely spent more time playing through the middle. And as I alluded to you before, don't know why you keep on thinking we need to have this physical striker upfront to do the buildup play or hold up for others etc. Do you see Man City doing that with Aguero upfront, for example? Moreover, we haven't even seen enough of this 4-3-3 with Werner leading the line and flanked by Pulisic and Ziyech to see how that works but people are already jumping to conclusions. There are many ways to skin a cat.
  10. Lampard on Havertz and rotation... https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2020/11/22/havertz-hopeful-of-featuring-in-france?utm_source=tw&utm_medium=orgsoc&utm_campaign=none
  11. Leeds with 25 shots against Arsenal but only 4 on target... Arteta's luck is something else...
  12. Sheffield United experiencing the second season syndrome...
  13. Gilmour is playing for the development squad today as well.
  14. In the short-term, yes. But in the long term, he could have been their solution, their future. Instead, they are gonna have to find a new striker somewhere else when Lewandowski slows down.
  15. The ironic thing is Werner had agreed to join Bayern last year's summer but their sporting director was too dumb and thought Werner was only a pace/space merchant and decided to pull out of the deal for the club. Has improved his overall game to be more than just that. Based on his explanation of why he chose to join us, it seems like Werner is a pretty level headed fella who thinks through carefully, compared to some other players who make rash decisions about their career. And fortunately for us, Lampard and the club were able to sell a convincing vision and plan to him.
  16. Last 6 games when Zouma and Rudiger played together in a back 4: W 2-0 Liverpool W 4-0 Everton W 1-0 Leicester W 1-0 Norwich W 4-0 Krasnodar W 2-0 Newcastle
