  1. Overall, he's 5th choice (why not 4th when Schurrle hasn't even been getting games either or does 5th sounds better because it suits people's view better?) in the AM department but break it down to each position, he's basically the 2nd choice on the RW, as drog.ba pointed out. 'Blinded' and 'context'. Of course. 'Blinded' is like a get-out-of-jail card for some people depending on the 'context'. They praised and glorified him back then because it suits the 'context' and now almost seem to be putting him down as it suits the current 'context'. Go figure...
  2. Saying Ramires opens up space for others and is one of the best finishers as reasons to play at RW seems somewhat nonsensical. We have seen him played countless of times in that position and I don't think he genuinely had any real success there. Managers only play him at RW to stop the opposition FB or attacks down that side and is only ever gonna be useful in counter-attacking situations. When he's played there against teams that sit deep, he offers literally next to nothing offensively. Thing is Steve, even if we were to sell him now, never mind to United, what are we gonna do with the squad depth till the end of the season? We'll only gonna have 4 AMs for 3 positions and that is suicidal with games coming thick and fast and if we want to win the major trophies.
  3. Yes but United have ambition as well, they want to rebuild their squad and get back to where they are. Why should we help them to become a successful force again? Selling them Mata will essentially be a stepping stone in them doing so.
  4. That might be true but we could actually be helping them to do so by selling Mata. It would improve their chances to finish 4th and if they do, they'll have that CL to attract big players to come. However if we don't sell Mata to them, then their chances to finish 4th is as low as it is right and hardly any big players would want to join a club outside the CL, even if it's United. And besides, the fact that playing for Moyes is hardly an attraction will make things worse should that scenario happen.
  5. The Unbreakable Juan! United-bound Mata is never injured... unlike Van Persie, Ferdinand, Carrick and Co
  6. The question is, would he even still be at the club before Sunday comes around? Yes, the player are back in training today after being given 2 days off. Although you have warned of such scenario before, it's quite hilarious to see you take a 360 degrees turn on your view about Mata when you were gloriously praising him in past years.
  7. Yeah but look at the amount or level of bad coverage they got after the game and compare to it now. No longer is anyone talking about the fallout from the game and instead, everybody is talking about United rebuilding their squad and our stupidity in helping them by selling Mata to a Premier League rival.
  8. Inclined to agree with that but on the other hand, hardly anyone is talking about the negativity surrounding their Sunday's loss anymore...
  9. Not really. For starters, he said last year that he expects David Villa to join Arsenal or Spurs and even said Barcelona will bid for Torres...
  10. Another Spanish journalist/pundit, similar to Guillem Balague, and one that is extremely pro-Spanish (+ anti-Mourinho). His Twitter account - www.twitter.com/bumpergraham.
  11. Better than Essien calling Mourinho 'daddy'!
  12. Errrmmm, was hoping for a much more substantiated view as opposed to one as cliche as that.
  13. @Barbara, how is it that you always seem to write a post that looks like an essay?
  14. Don't be alarmed as we have not been linked with him. However, someone on Twitter brought up the idea that IF we were to sell Mata to Man United now (or maybe to someone else in the summer), perhaps we could get Lallana in to replace Mata? He's a classy little player with good technical ability, workrate and passing (and not to mention, he's English). He can play behind the ST and also out wide. Thoughts?
  15. Lukaku cutting his hair is a serious stuff?
  16. True but he still needs some game time to get his fitness going again.
  17. Mata is arguably the only one in the team who has such vision and able to execute a precise or inch perfect pass such as that. Another one would be this...
  18. Well, it's about time I guess for the club to make a retarded decision again. They have been too sensible of late.
  19. Do I need say the obvious? I have no problem with us selling him (can't believe I just said that) but to a rival in the Premier League? FFS! That's just plain retarded.
  20. Juan Mata move to Manchester United on hold as Atletico Madrid tempt Moyes with Filipe Luis and Diego Costa Don't know whether to or at that news...
  21. Here we go........... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-united-transfers-juan-mata-3047976#.Ut73l7QRXIU
  22. Conte seems to be rather dodgy in managing cup competitions...
  23. Yeah but since that is now not happening...
  24. Not that I wish bad on anyone but maybe it will be nice if West Ham leave some sort of 'mark' on Man City...
