  1. Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is out with a thigh injury, with Ricardo Carvalho and Ashley Cole suspended. John Terry (foot), Carlo Cudicini (rib), Didier Drogba (knee), Florent Malouda (knee) and Claude Makelele (ear) are also out. Newcastle's Joey Barton will not play after being remanded in custody charged with common assault and affray. Striker Michael Owen (thigh) could return, while Claudio Cacapa and Nicky Butt may figure after being rested. Chelsea (from): Cech, Hilario, Belletti, Ferreira, Alex, Ben-Haim, J Cole, Essien, Sidwell, Kalou, Shevchenko, Mikel, Sinclair, Wright-Phillips, Pizarro, Ballack. Newcastle (from): Given, Harper, Carr, Beye, and'Zogbia, Enrique, Rozehnal, Cacapa, Taylor, Faye, Edgar, Geremi, Butt, Milner, Emre, Duff, Smith, Martins, Viduka, Owen. ----------------Cech---------------------- --Belletti - Alex - Ben Haim - Ferreira-- -SWP - Ballack - Essien - Joe Cole-- ----------Pizarro - Shevchenko------- ^ The team for me.
  2. Hush puppy. Quit being a sore looser and look on the positive side. We're all on the same team here. I didn't mean to imply that we don't need Drogba, but what I was saying is that Chelsea as a team rely on him to much.
  3. I still have every confidence that Chelsea will contend for the title. Shevchenko was great, I'm impressed. If he can keep his performance up who the hell needs Drogba? Buy a few new players in January (PROVEN players) and we'll be set.
  4. 2 - 0 to the Chelsea! Essien and Lampard the goalscorers, although Shevchenko will go VERY close.
  5. Tut tut. That's not the spirit. A nice 2 - 0 win will be nice. Lampard and Shevchenko to score.
  6. We have played Liverpool, Arsenal and Man you.. all away.Home games to come. Time to seek revenge.
  7. flying high...up in the sky!!!we'll keep the blue flag flying high!!!from stamford bridge to emirateswe'll keep the blue flag flying high!!!COME ON Chelsea!!!COME ON Chelsea!!!COME ON Chelsea!!!
  8. I am not worried at all. I have every confidence in the Chelsea players. They play to win. A draw is the least that we're going to get.
  9. Chelsea will certainly push harder for a equaliser now. Once we have the equaliser we will have the confidence to grab another one. You just watch
  10. Still a 1 - 1 draw is a realistic target. Although a win would still be nice.
  11. The last time Terry came off injured against Arsenal Chelsea ended up winning.Lets think positive.
  12. Eh... Things just get worse and worse..
  13. Is this the beginning of Arsenal's 12th man?I hope not...
  14. I think that Berbatov would link up really well with anyone up front. He'd enjoy being part of a larger club too.
  15. CechBelletti - Alex - Terry - Bridge MakeleleWright Philips - Lampard - Cole Shevchenko - PizarroMakalele will give the extra defence while all the top 5 can score. I'd take a 1 - 1 or a 0 - 0 draw. But I'll be hoping for a Chelsea win.. obviously.
  16. Pizarro had some fantastic moments, but also some "odd" ones too. I think that he needs a little more match practice and he'll start getting his name on the scoreboard.
  17. I've seen a lot of Pizarro bashing (on the BBC website). I watched the game and thought that he did pretty well. Anyone with me?
  18. I think that this would be a great signing. Please Avram?
  19. I'd have to say a 2 - 0 or 3 - 0 win. All the lower league teams suddenly seem to get into some kind of "form" when playing Chelsea.
