who are we supposed to play then? Frank, Didier, Michael? I DONT RATE THEM even though we don't exactly pose a huge attacking threat we played a similar lineup against Leicester and managed to score 5 (NOT COMPARING LEICESTER TO BENFICA)
Can't for the life of me understand why Romeu still isnt getting any playing time but regardless.. who do you all think should've been included in the starting XI?
good lineup considering the players we have I guess Sturridge could've been incluided but....tough one. Should come on as a sub though too bad Ivanovic is still injured but what you gonna do huh
Ronaldo & Higuain? #ThankYouBasedAbramovich but on a serious note Hazard is prolly the only one I rate that's been linked with us and he seems the most unlikely now
my meaning was that if this was one of Lampard's better performances then surely it should be obvious that he's frankly not good enough anymore for a team with our ambitions. same goes for quite a few of our other players
it's kind of funny but Lampard probably had one of his best games all year today... that's why we cant play him. or Essien. or Drogba. just play Meireles or Malouda or someone. yeah they're not good enough either but what you gonna do huh cant see why we're still ostracising Romeu now that's he's fit and all
can't wait for next season tbh we have so many players who either are not good enough to play in a team with our ambitions or simply doesnt work hard enough (or in some cases both). sadly the necessary changes in our squad werent made in the summer or winter and therefore we're paying the piper. a manager like Ferguson or the squad depth of Man City wouldnt even have gotten us in the top 3 this season
see when you dont play well as a unit you would at least expect a few individual performances from players who are on £100-200k a week, even more so from the experienced ones Drogba? Essien? Lampard? fuck is they doing? fuck all
my first thought was that it seems a bit ridiculous as well but I think it's wise of them trying to strengthen their brand among the asian demographic, could prove a good investment in the future
bitter result but wont say it was an unfair one our subs added nothing today we can't compete with City this season which is a shame but I'm hoping we'll make some good changes in the summer
if you disregard all the easy mistakes we've been making (which I hope we'll see less of in the 2nd half) I think we have defended well under the circumstances. Ivanovic is a loss but Bosingwa anyday over a half-injured Ivan we need to be creating more chances though, I'm expecting a lot will be said in the dressing room both from RDM and our players. c'mon Chelsea!!!!!!!
it's a gamble and a smart move by RDM because we need to gamble if we're going to get anything from this game Chelsea XI: Cech; Ivanovic, Cahill, Luiz, Cole, Lampard, Mikel, Ramires, Mata, Meireles, Torres. #CFC
we're going to have to gamble to win this one, or even draw if we put out the same team we played against Napoli they'll not only have to play just as well as they did then (which I dont really see happening anyway) but much better yeah City's recent results are not impressing but they showed in the 2nd half against Sporting that they haven't lost it completely of course there's not many ways we can "gamble" in regards to lineup, formation et cet. but I dont no.. I'm sure this will be our toughest match yet this season so something has to be done
got Spurs/bolton I wouldnt mind Spurs and then the Pool in a final, if we could get some really confident wins over both there would be no doubt about us being the most worthy winner
