  1. Keep your ears open, I'll try and start it off!
  2. Anyone else think it should be changed to: Double, double, double, John Terry has won the double, And the shit from the lane, In the Europa again, Cause John Terry has won the double!
  3. Again, we do transport, but only for selected games, like 10-12 a season. Would love to do every game but its not practicle unless you have 40-50 season ticket holders. Even then you find alot of them are set in their ways even if what you are offering is better, cheaper, quicker or all of them! You need to do research into drivers hours and rules for football fans travelling to matches in a large group. It's very dull but you need to know it.
  4. Escentially it is a full time job on top of a full time job. I do go a bit overboard with it and as a club we do alot of things that most of the other clubs do not do, so I reakon you could cut it down to 20 if you wanted to. To give you an idea of what we do extra, here are a few examples: we've been on Chelsea TV 3 times this season which takes time to organise. We do legends nights, we do golf days, I do articles for the website when people ask me questions that they want explaining like how financial fair play works. The easiest bit of it by a mile is booking tickets which you would think is the hard part. One massive bit of advice to you if you was to do it, make you you get everyone to pay for tickets upfront!!!!! Some clubs ask members to pay in say £100 at the start of the season and then each member will have like a bank balance almost that the club will use to buy tickets when requested and members top it up when they need to. I personally don't do it like that because its alot of work with 100+ people and it sounds like a recipe for arguements so I give people 1 weeks notice to get the money to me, if they don't, they don't get a ticket!
  5. First things to do 1) Speak to Chelsea about it and look at the criteria because there is alot of it, you need to have club bank accounts, keep account records for example. I will warn you, I do 30-40 hours a WEEK running the club doing jobs. 2) If Chelsea say yes, ask them to set up a facebook page, for example www.facebook.com/easternblues 3) Get some buisness cards made up and everytime you see someone in Blue in your area, speak to them! If you are not going to a match but live near a major train station where people will be going to it, go there and hand them out. 4) I did a website also, I dont think this is as important but you might want to look into it as i found it alot easier to set up a club email address for our records. 5) Start keeping records of everyone who shows interest and keep all their details, true blue numbers!!! Chelsea make mistakes with who my members are all the time, I had about 40 missing at the start of this season and with my records they would have all been lost. That should keep you busy for a little while!
  6. Ok, doesn't matter if its only you. I started off with me and 1 other, 3 years later I have 100 True Blues and another 55 affiliated. Let me know how you get on and I'll help if I can.
  7. Getting started is the hardest part. Have a look at our club website, www.easternblues.co.uk to give you some ideas of what you can offer to prospective members
  8. I run the Norfolk and Suffolk club so if you want any advice, I'm here to answer questions you may have
  9. 'Customers are reminded in line with the club ticketing policy that the loyalty points from 2011-2012 will remain on customers accounts until the QPR away match is sold out. Once this match is sold out all of last season's points will be removed.'
  10. There is a Bristol and Bath one which probably covers your area.
  11. Nearly all of the flags in the stadium are fixed permentally there so just make sure the flag is weighted or a heavy material or it will fly up and drive those sitting near it mad.
  12. His comments on Twitter today were legendary!
  13. Can't believe how many of you leave Ramires out of your starting line up's for next season. Probably our best play this year!
