  1. What have I said about Twitter?! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/bolton_wanderers/9382277.stm
  2. Bookies are saying he is more likely to stay in Liverpool than sign for us...
  3. Or maybe he'll tear his hamstring when signing a four and a half year deal?
  4. The Negative Nancy in me is still doubting this. Why? Cos we are still 'negotiating.' That means the club are trying to offer less than £50 million, and we all know how good Scousers are at robbing...
  5. After thrashing them 7-2 and 3-1 last season (the 3-1 being our best performance of the season IMO, along with United away), I'd be delighted to take a 1-0. Sunderland are difficult to play against, but we should be beating them.
  6. Yeah. Whilst Malouda was behind the line, there was no way the ball could have been entirely out of play, because otherwise his foot would have been behind the line too.
  7. He's swapped bench-warming at the Champions for reserve league football.
  8. I know he'd be wasted, but I can't see Ancelotti changing systems, especially how mechanical the football was in the Diamond. We were merely functional, rather than fantastic.
  9. Some of you are talking like we're already through. We've beaten Everton seven times in seventeen matches (drawing nine and losing one) in all competitions since 2005: 05/06 - drawn 1-1 and won 3-0, drawn 1-1 and won 4-1 in the FA Cup 06/07 - won 3-2 and drawn 1-1 07/08 - won 1-0 and drawn 1-1, won 2-1 and won 1-0 in the Carling Cup 08/09 - drawn 0-0 and drawn 0-0, won 2-1 in the FA Cup 09/10 - drawn 3-3 and lost 2-1 10/11 - drawn 1-1 and drawn 1-1 in the FA Cup What is more worrying is we've won only one game against them at Stamford Bridge since the 05/06 season - the 2-1 win in the Carling Cup, with there being five consecutive draws in that period as well. And as you can see, we haven't beaten them since Ancelotti took charge. Whilst our record from 05/06 to 07/08 is brilliant, since the 08/09 season we've managed one win in seven matches against them. They will have Cahill back, and whilst they know they missed an opportunity on Saturday, recent results suggest they have nothing to fear.
  10. I think you're right Madmax. But who are we kidding? We all know it will be 4-3-3 with either Drogba on the bench, or Anelka left on the bench with Torres wide right.
  11. Latest Twatter rumour - 'Nando to complete move by 4pm.
  12. I'm nearly 18, who gives a fuck? If he can continue to perform I wouldn't care if he was 73. The same goes to Lampard and any of the other 'oldies.' Footballers look after themselves and the majority will be able to play at a high level until they are 35. No such thing as loyalty in football. Remember JT demanding a £30,000-a-week pay rise or he was off to City? Loyalty died when the sport became commercialised with the Premier League.
  13. Hit the post on his debut against Hull and got an assist at Coventry for Alex's goal
  14. ASSE had a great start to the season.... Payet has been a revelation, scoring eight goals and playing consistently well. He has been better than Hazard this season in my opinion. I'm surprised he wants to move, though after a promising start they have slipped to eighth. A top talent and someone I'd welcome at the club - but I haven't seen anything else linking him here, so I guess time will tell.
  15. It wouldn't make economic sense to sign Torres anyway. I'm trying to kid myself here and persuade myself it would be bad business - which I am slightly inclined to agree with. He's injury prone and as half-hearted as Drogba and Anelka nine games in ten. Plus it isn't as if he will come here and score 20 goals before the end of the season...
  16. THERE IS A THREAD FOR TWITTER RUMOURS. 'News' posts without sources will be deleted.
  17. I might put a fiver on him going to City...
  18. Unconfirmed reports he has JUST arrived at Melwood.
  19. The 11pm Monday deadline is not really the deadline... it just means clubs have to agree a deal by then. Say 'Pool accept a deal of £45 million plus Sturridge, for instance, we then have as long as we need to agree terms with the player and his agent, etc.
  20. Cattermole's back? Fucking hell, Lampard will get a broken neck.
  21. I've just seen the full replay of the game... their goal came from a corner, but the whole of the ball didn't go over the line...
