When you watch his contribution to an entire game, you see how he controls the tempo, and more importantly the way he can commit two or three players with a bursting run and then release the ball to players in the space he's created for them. There's certainly hype in England that goes over the top, but when he's got people like Schweinsteiger saying that he's one of the best players in his position in the world, or Alves saying he wants him at Barca, you have to admit the praise isn't just English people with rose tinted glasses on.

This is what club bias does to people. Absolutely insane assertion.

If it's not a Premier League club then he needs to rethink his future. He can't allow his development to be stifled any longer because he's clinging on to the hope that he's going to be a Chelsea starter.

If you genuinely believe that then you don't understand youth development. Loan deals and development league football are not enough for a player to realise his potential. Players like Rooney and Wilshere are the exceptions to the rule. Clubs have to take a chance on young players if they want to reap the rewards. If Chelsea are only willing to give absolute superstars a chance in the first team then sooner or later your academy will start to suffer. We've already seen it with Man City losing out on pretty much every academy player they try to lure.

He need first team football at Chelsea, failing that a Premier League loan. Anything less than that and he should look to leave.
