  1. He would never sanctioned the signing if he wasn't given a target by Scolari or the scouts in the first place. He only cares about the cash because that is his job, not scouting players. And he wouldn't be getting any CL medal if the UEFA don't give them to club's chairman or CEO. ManUre's CEO got one as well...
  2. I don't understand why just because he isn't a Chelsea supporter, he is blamed for things that aren't actually his fault.
  3. Why is Kenyon blamed? I would blame the scouts or Scolari for not finding a better option, not Kenyon...
  4. Yes, clean sheet is the main priority. Still if we go there without a goal, the chances of us going out are higher...
  5. I dunno. We should try to score as many as possible (at least 2 goals) to give us advantage over the away tie. If we can, then we go to Italy and defend our aggregate and play counter-attack.
  6. I know what you're saying. You're saying there are big players who genuinely love the club and I said I don't believe it...
  7. They could get other jobs. I mean, how long do they train each day? And they only play for around 180 mins a week at most. And that isn't all the time, too.
  8. Not really. And why is it not the point? Take away ALL of the money Buffon & Del Piero have and donate it to the needy and get them to play for free, then I'll believe they plays for the shirt. Otherwise, no.
  9. No, it isn't. It's realistic. I'm sure they know Juventus would be back up within a year anyway so they didn't left. Would they stay if Juventus weren't allowed to go back to Serie A? The Italian FA could deduct a bucketload of points at the start of the season to make sure you don't go back up. I doubt it they would stay if a club in Serie A wants them, if that was the case.
  10. There is no such players for big clubs. Yes, if you play for next to nothing for your local club then you will play for the shirt, otherwise I don't believe it. Not really, anyway.
  11. Depends on who we buy. If we buy someone young with a lot of potential but isn't a big star yet, then no, he wouldn't be a money-grabber. At least not completely as he still has a lot to prove/achieve at the highest level...
  12. Yeah, well, they still weren't the big players they are now...
  13. Well, was thinking maybe we could get 5-7 million pound if we give him a new contract and he plays well.
  14. I don't think so. How big were C. Ronaldo and Vidic when they first arrived?
  15. How long until his current one expires? Give him a new contract and we can sell him for more money. If he doesn't play well for the rest of the season, that is.
  16. ^ TB, I think it'd be madness not to consider a bid of 2 or 3 times a player's market value. Let alone 5 or 6... If that is so, then he'd immediately sign the first deal he was offered. There wouldn't be any contract negotiation and his contract negotiations was quite long, mind. He's never said that because he was given a mega contract. What would he say if he wasn't given the contract he wanted? I'm sure he wouldn't be content because he knows he's a big player. Anyway, it's off-topic.
  17. Forgive us for not letting sentiments cloud our judgements. Oh, and no, I don't really buy it when players say they love the club they play for. They wouldn't be here if not for the fat paychecks they get. Would JT play for us with, let's say, 10,000 pound or less a week? I really doubt that.
  18. Yes, he was brilliant yesterday. It doesn't make the facts that he's been quite injury-prone and is getting old disappear tho. Yes, as a loyal fan I should want him to stay cause he's a legend. But he's still an asset and if a huge offer comes along, I'd be quite stupid not to accept it. Or at least consider it. He's the heart & soul of the team, for now. If he leaves, we'll move on. Just like we've moved on without Jose. Oh, and if we can keep expecting Roman to keep opening his pockets, why would he invest so much on the academy? He could've also upped the bid for Robinho, and he didn't. He could've paid the price Sevilla want for Dani Alves, and he didn't. If that were the case, I'm sure JT wouldn't hesitate to leave us. He'd want to play for clubs like Man Utd or Barcelona for his career, above playing for a mid-table club.
  19. If the clubs fans do the transfer-decisions, Bridge & Cudicini would never be sold. We'd never buy Sheva for 30 million pound or give Ballack his mega contract.
  20. Huh? This is the first time we've won at their turf for a decade...
  21. I'd add a quite injury-prone and an almost 30 year old defender to that.
  22. Yeah, hope we'll get another goal before HT...
  23. Unlucky for Villa, they hit the cross bar. Thanfully.
  24. Hopefully Stoch and Mancienne play in the 2nd half.
