  1. It was an onslaught from the first whistle. They should have been 2 or 3 ahead by the time we scored first.
  2. if you look at the replies on this thread you haven't covered yourself in glory, but just keep going eh? Skyboys like you love to belittle the so-called "smaller clubs". We just came up against the best striker in the country at the moment.
  3. Not sure, but i tell you what - he was just what we were missing at the Brazil WC.
  4. No it makes him England calibre. Look at Colback, 2 half decent games for the mags at the beginning of the season and he got a call-up.
  5. He is now, and that is down to most clubs having 90% foreign players. That is the truth.
  6. He's been brilliant for us for a while now and he's nowhere near as dirty as is made out.
  7. I know, we used to be good a long time ago... Mind we've won the title 6 times, which puts us 6th successful club of all time (ahead of Chelsea ). Pity the last of them was in the 30's...
  8. Which is the reason why Jose is probably the best manager in the world, other great managers struggle to do this.
  9. Would you have preferred we went toe to toe against you and get beat?
  10. You really need to look at our recent record at City to realise you're talking shite And I remember the semi-final against Barca when Chelsea had 24% possesion with no shots on or off target. But I'm not here to antagonise, I like Chelsea and want them to win the league.
  11. TBF we've already drawn against Man U at the SOL this season and beat them at Old Trafford last season. We've also got a canny record against City.
  12. Manchester United - 43,217 Tottenham - 40,799 Swansea - 41,325 Stoke - 42,713 Arsenal - 44,449 Everton - 43,476 Chelsea - 45,232 Our average - 43,030 Not bad considering we never win anything.

  14. After getting hammered 8 nil at Southampton we've had to start our season again, at the moment it's just important that we don't get beat. Chelsea will win the title and looking back this will be an decent point for you lot as we'll probably take points off other top sides at the SOL. Lets just hope we don't need to win the last game of the season to stay up BTW - over 45,000 there today and I was impressed by how many you brought.
  15. Only kidding lads, but I was surprised at how few chances you had. I think Mourhinio (sp) wants to go through the season unbeaten so was happy with the draw. Good luck for the rest of the season, hope you win it.
  16. and this is interesting - it shows that we have got more class than the "gang of 3" http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sport/football/597776.stm
  17. I think the people writing the comments know more than the journalist - very lazy writing with obviuosly little or no research done. This is more accurate. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/sunderland-will-not-be-hit-with-points-penalty-for-fielding-ji-dongwon-9322080.html
  18. People think it was as if we fielded a player that wasn't ours, that's not true. He had been a Sunderland player for 2 years and we'd loaned him out to Wolfsburg. When he came back we hadn't filled out the correct forms so I think any punishment would be harsh, especially as it was us that brought up the problem with the authorities. It was dealt with and we got a fine, everyone was happy with it when we were nailed on to go down, as soon as we claw our way out the doomed teams start grasping at straws. The thing is - of all the games he played we won 1 point (at Southampton, but we were actually winning 1-0 until the useless fucka came on). Let them take that point off us, doesn't matter now
  19. Cheers for all the kind words lads, it's much appreciated. It's worked out one of our best seasons ever in the end, beat the mags home and away and got to Wembley for the first time in yonks. I've also won a fair few quid as I but a bet on us to stay up (though not a month ago when we were 20/1 on to go down!!), but also lost a bit cos I'd put a bit on you lot to be champions. I'll probably not be on again till next season so have a good summer, and World Cup, whoever is your team. PS, I'm honestly sorry to see Fulham go down, great away day as is Chelsea. Both are good shopping for the missus which means I get to go to the games
  20. I hope he stays but wouldn't be surprised if he goes. He's got the talent but in a team like ours you need to be able to do a bit more (think Mata!).
  21. TBH I've had a bit on with our lot. Went to Fulham away and thought we had turned it around then went to Norwich and I've never been as disappointed with a performance. BUT - we've beaten the mags twice, got to Wembley, and stayed up - it's turned out to be one of the best seasons in 40 years supporting the lads. You lot have cost me some money! I really thought you could win it, I was sick that it was us that buggered that for you but you've got to understand that we need to be in this league. Over 45k against cardiff last week, we are a premiere club but maybe not a premiere team.
