This guy is what I consider a real man in the current footballing world filled with whining asses like Pepe, Nani, CR, Busquets, etc. (there would a really LONG list). IMO, a great man is not one who does not make mistakes. He is the one who accepts the backlash of his mistakes and bounces back harder and with higher drive..in the most adverse conditions! I really hate the english "fans" booing him and Ashley, who have served the national team with pride and commitment, for reasons that most of those "fans" could be caught supporting/guilty of in their own personal lives! This is one football player who inspires me to be strong and defines what being a man really is!

I really dont think this place is meant for just opinions on players! Its a place for transfer 'speculation'. People just go crazy in the transfer windows! One good game and any youngster is of CFC caliber! Unbelievable desperation, IMO.

I dont understand people wanting the Manchester clubs to slip up this weekend! I want them to destroy the in-form Spuds and Arsenal. We make ground on those two teams first and then there is enough time during the Europa League for the Manc clubs to drop points after a rough Thursday away night or something. I, personally, would like draws but if there have to be any wins, I want the Manc sides getting the better of the London sides over this weekend. But all this will be moot if we dont get a win.

I really think we should tie him down (offer him a long-term contract) this season. We should not wait for the next, it being his last year in contract. His head can be turned, considering hes still a youngster and a great prospect for all the top clubs of Europe. I would hate a Nasri-esque situation at Chelsea.

Malouda makes his hatred for FT so obvious, FFS! Even I could have given that pass to FT in the final few seconds..but, what does our legendary frenchman do? Turns around and passes it back into midfield..in the final few seconds..not even the possibility of a counter-attack, if he lost the ball! I want him out first thing in summer..if possible, right in this window..promote a reserve team player and he'd surely be better at team play than this fuck!

How many here think that the fans should have a forum to interact directly, on a regular although infrequent basis, with the boss and/or the board members of CFC? because I really think we deserve some answers about everything that goes on at the club. I am really pissed off at how clueless our management seems as far as the youth induction is concerned. Every season we have our hopes raised and its the same old story of "saving their own butts before anything"! The forum should be on a much higher level than that Friday Night Live thingy they do on CTV. Invite queries from fans on a monthly basis and the most raised issues should be explained over a time period of a couple of hours and with direct sensible answers and not the twisted crap they dish out to media. Let the media make what they want out of it. It will at least hold the fans' spirit in the club as a whole. I dont want the exact numbers out of books or anything that is outside of club's policy, unless the club policy prevents talking about the direction the team and the club are taking. I really think we deserve it. I dont know what 'practical issues' can hinder any club with a respectable fan-base doing this. I really dont think the likes of Gourlay have such a packed schedule that they cannot 'spare' 2 hours in a month for their fans. And surely the boss (whoever it may be) can squeeze in 2 hours for such an event.

This. Arsenal fans are expecting someone to bid 15m for Arshavin FFS! Kalou should leave to make way for other, better players. But not to Arsenal and not for that chump change. I get that he will be out of contract soon and what not. We need to stop acting like a charity and show some strength in the market. The price quoted, if true, is ridiculous. Hes young and has a great statistical profile.

No. I think that will be a start of the long-term solution. There is nothing anyone can do that can revitalise this team in one go. I am not asking for the youngsters to shoulder the responsibility for the shambles we are in, but start preparing them as a foundation for the fortress we are wishing to build. Edit: Get in Mata.
