  1. One bad season doesn't make a bad player. For all we know it was the change of training regime that made him 'injury prone' last year. You'd imagine the Italians would be alot more fitness conscious which may have suited his body. Still has the potential to be brilliant again in my opinion.
  2. This is the latest, a translation from some Brazilian website. Seems like talks will start again and he seems keen on a move.
  3. Fantastic. OK here goes, I hope we get Aguero...
  4. Ancelloti saying on chelseafc.com that Hilario will start.
  5. Good, really hope the same happens with Essien.
  6. Still reckon we're more likely to meet the reported fee for Neymar than the reported fee for Luiz.
  7. Disagree, I think Neymar is more than likely. Reckon we'll put another bid in for him after Santos' cup final tomorrow.
  8. Pretty poor. PVA best player I'd say. 2 shots on target not good enough.
  9. I honestly didn't know how good we had it when Carlo was still here.
  10. Looks as if we're rotating between the two. Kalou is coming out to the right quite often. Zhirkov seems to be tucked inside alot of the time.
  11. I reckon a one-armed Cech is better than those other two. Bruma looking composed, might as well be Alex out there so far.
  12. BLUES OFFER CONTRACT TO BEGIRISTAIN Txiki can aid Torres bid BEGIRISTAIN: Blues keen on his services By Andy Dunn CHELSEA will complete the capture of former Barcelona sporting director Txiki Begiristain this week if a power-sharing agreement with Carlo Ancelotti can be reached. Begiristain is being brought in to get Roman Abramovich the two things he most craves - Fernando Torres and a European Cup. The former Spain international won the Champions League as sporting director twice at the Camp Nou where he was hailed as the architect of the greatest Barca side in history by his president Joan Laporta. He also wanted to make Liverpool striker Torres a Barcelona player both when he was still at Atletico Madrid and since moving to Anfield. Chelsea want Begiristain to engineer another push for £40m-rated Torres and help Ancelotti win the European Cup as he was able to do with Frank Rijkaard and Pep Guardiola. But the relationship with Ancelotti could yet prevent him signing the three-year contract on offer. Begiristain wants an equal say over all signings but after landing the Double last season, Ancelotti is insisting he has the final word on all transfers. Chelsea want the matter closed as quickly as possible so the new man can get to work before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month. Begiristain won four league titles in his seven years at Barcelona, although he also made some howlers in the transfer market. Last summer he oversaw the signing Dmytro Chygrynskiy from Shakhtar Donetsk for £23m. The Ukranian hardly played last season and was sent back for £10m less than he cost last month. Source: NOTW
  13. I would of thought he requested Demichelis.
  14. From Stamfordthelion twitter: Hope its not a bad one, cant afford to have another striker out.
  15. Netherlands coach Bert van Marwijk has named only one member of his World Cup squad for next month's friendly against Ukraine. Reserve goalkeeper Michel Vorm was the only player included who was in the Dutch squad which reached the final of the tournament in South Africa, as Van Marwijk looks ahead to the team's Euro 2012 qualifying campaign. "I don't want to use them (World Cup squad members) unecessarily at this stage," he said in a statement on Wednesday. "Our opponent knows we'll come with a young group but for me it's an opportunity to keep an eye on these young players before the upcoming Euro qualifiers," the 58-year-old added. Roy Beerens, Jeffrey Bruma, Siem de Jong, Erik Pieters, Ronnie Stam and Ricky van Wolfswinkel could make their international debuts against Ukraine in Kiev on Aug. 11. Netherlands begin their Euro 2012 Group E qualifying campaign away to San Marino on Sept. 3. The 1988 European champions are also grouped with Sweden, Finland, Hungary and Moldova. Squad: Michel Vorm (Utrecht), Vurnon Anita (Ajax ), Otman Bakkal (PSV Eindhoven), Roy Beerens (Heerenveen), Wout Brama (Twente Enschede), Jeffrey Bruma (Chelsea), Urby Emanuelson (Ajax), Orlando Engelaar (PSV Eindhoven), Theo Janssen (Twente Enschede), Siem de Jong (Ajax) Jeremain Lens (PSV Eindhoven), Glenn Loovens (Celtic), David Mendes da Silva (Salzburg), Erik Pieters (PSV Eindhoven), Ronnie Stam (Twente Enschede), Ron Vlaar (Feyenoord), Piet Velthuizen (Vitesse Arnhem), Ricky van Wolfswinkel (Utrecht). Admittedly the whole squad seems to have been rested but still glad to see he's in the 'second string' of the world cup finalists at his age.
