It is possible that training has been persistently subpar or a LONG time, given that we played so many games - didn't we play the most or close to the most out of any team in the world in the last year or two? It is quite likely that a lot of stuff that our coaches have wanted to do over the last couple of years has been impossible due to this. No doubt also played a part in our injury crisis. I am kind of hoping we have no European football next year whatsoever, maybe everyone will say I am crazy, but I remember in Conte's title winning year what a massive difference it made. I woke up with the opinion we may as well stick with Potter for now. Club should set a target finishing position with him and if he can't reach it with the lads we're buying in January and the ones we already have then sack him end of season. Feel like another manager right now will have the same problems and still struggle awfully and essentially not be setup for success, would be the beginning of a potentially great journey if they come in with our squad mostly fit at the time.

Surely he's got to get sacked now. I honestly think in the long run he could work out but seriously, there has to be a point at which a manager is sacked for bad results and we must be beyond it... That said, some of these players are not playing at a basic professional standard, and that is not acceptable no matter the manager. Avram Grant was a terrible manager but the players still showed up and fucking delivered. We need to sell some players immediately to anyone who will take them.

This is true as well. Very good at short passing but very poor at mid/long passes, especially progressive ones.

Agreed would be stupid to sell Mount. No real injury record of note and delivered over whole seasons. Just needs a good team around him and to grow his decision making a bit.

It might be both. I think the players are more at fault than the manager but Potter really has not learnt from his mistakes here so far and if he was going to he would have already, I think. Not letting players who are starting to show something get a run of games is just some kind of fundamental hole in his brain that does not appear pluggable.

I would keep Havertz as a squad player, but he clearly can't be regularly in the starting XI based on what we have seen for some time

Mount and Havertz have actually done some useful things in a Chelsea shirt and you can see some potential, that is frustratingly not being delivered. Koulibaly is in his 30s and not a player for the future, looks like probably the worst signing we've done since Lukaku

He is energetic and passionate but he has no quality, can't pass, can't dribble, can't tackle, can't intercept, he just exists floating around fouling people and looking busy. I think he can shoot but we don't really give him a chance to show that, because we suck. Even so, not enough to overcome the unbelievable limitations - doesn't even look like a premier league standard player.
