  1. So Jackson didn't take the cursed 9 shirt, good...
  2. Should never have been playing on that pitch, club really has not learnt to protect its assets.
  3. Absolutely nothing alike and we've said no to him due to his known bad attitude. No club in all of Europe after him.
  4. IF Caicedo gets over the line I will become a conspiracy theorist - probably the deal has been made for some time, quietly between directors and not shared beyond: 1. We have not gone and spent shit loads on other top CM options, we perhaps knew all along this was happening from the negotiations we did weeks ago, as long as we went along with the sequence of events required 2. Brighton would demand we keep it under wraps, ala Gvardiol and many other transfers we've seen before, to stop them getting fleeced by clubs who know they've got ~£90m-£100m coming in 3. Brighton when they've secured all players (for whom we must not compete - probably this is why we backed away from Kudus move) sell him for a fee we've already agreed with them in the region mentioned above 4. That price was only agreeable under basis we solve their Sanchez situation favourably as well?
  5. I think his acceleration from a dead stop doesn’t look great but his pace is faster than many we’ve had play CB. Excited for him but assuming Thiago holds down the top spot for now tbh.
  6. Hope Poch does not repeat the Dortmund lineup
  7. From the Brighton forum, lots of people with views like this. I am excited for him tbh. 100% going to beat Kepa to be our main goalie.
  8. Got about 50,000 Brighton fans volunteering to personally drive him up to us, about an hours drive up to Cobham it is, they are thrilled.
  9. £25m! Brighton fans were dreaming of 10! If we see a breakthrough in the Caicedo deal where we add 5/10m on and it is agreed then gonna be pretty sus.
  10. Two more signings = Caicedo + Kudus/Olise and we're done I guess, which to be fair would be an amazing bit of squad building over 2 windows. Have a feeling the club is going to just crack and buy Caicedo when Poch says that neither Santos or Ugo is ready to start next to Enzo and he's going to play Gallagher instead.
  11. Here's the tweet ^. Slightly concerned he is a known hot head. But almost definitely a Kepa upgrade.
  12. He is supposed to be Juventus fan, chose them over many other options. That said, Lukaku said the same about us, and then Inter, and then us, and then Inter... So, you know, we'll see what happens.
  13. Two hopes: 1. he is going through a gruelling fitness regime, might be fatigued AF and behind the others for fitness but with time he would get there and 2. if we sign a proper DM maybe we see a better Enzo. But yeah, I'm nervous.
  14. He's recovering from a serious hamstring problem, but for £35m... yeah I'm probably in for £35m. Kudus is a no brainer though fmpov kind of confused no one has moved on him already.
  15. I like Reece for lots of reasons but Malo just looks better in Poch's system imo. I have felt for a while that Reece looks world class as a wing back and somewhere between good and very good as a right back depending on the day. Malo just looks sensational. Ironically Reece probably needs some time to grow and learn as he spent so long in his career now playing in a 3 ATB system. I would also like to see Gusto play for the sake of having a settled backline that doesn't have players dropping out to injury all the time. Harsh on Reece but his injury record is what it is and slowly working his way into the team feels like the right thing to me, would also like to see him tried in different positions like we've done with Maatsen.
  16. If we didn't have such exciting / dangerous wingers waiting in the wings I could understand it, but I don't really see what Poch sees in him. Is he being very effective in the press or something?
  17. Concerned that Poch keeps playing Sterling. I know he wants players with experience but damn man… guy is washed.
  18. Curious whether Poch will play something akin to his Liverpool lineup or whether this is still purely about fitness and seeing individuals more than the combination of individuals...
  19. Call me sentimental but I don’t think Timo was a shit buy, just not the big time goal scorer we thought we were getting. We fell off the day he left.
  20. I don't know Tyler Adams that well, mostly concerned about his injury and injury record. Not sure it makes sense as he's just had surgery. Probably agent talk this rumour tbh.
  21. Can't say I know him that well. Did see this though - Leeds results with vs without him:
  22. So the club's work bringing in Enzo, Mudryk, Nicolas Jackson, Nkunku, Malo Gusto, and way more all this year is not enough and we should also already have signed 3-4 more? That is living fantasies. This is the largest squad rebuild in the shortest period of time I have ever seen, and absolutely stunning so far, albeit not complete yet - sorry the club let you down so much there. If you think this squad is way worse than anything we had under Abramovich, I don't know what to say man, we used to have Danny Drinkwater and Bakayako in CM... It is one of the most promising squads we've ever assembled IMO and not even finished yet. It is true it is not at the level of the insane team we built with Terry/Lampard/Drogba, but that was a different era in football where we were THE club with money, now we have a lot of competition and it is going to be a slower journey. Personally I'm super optimistic about how we have been run since January when Todd stepped away. No it isn't finished yet, but it will be, the club have earnt my trust back this year.
  23. United took Mount, who has been shit for the last year, a very good goalkeeper and a young striker that was outscored by a DM last year in the same league. Liverpool have not replaced their entire midfield and are still actively working on it City so far have only signed Kovacic, Gvardiol probably imminent. You're living fantasies and are clearly here to whine and put the club down, when the club has done an absolute tonne of good business, we've simply had way more to do than other clubs, a lot of historical mistakes to fix, and we are trying to not get fleeced for individual players and be calm in the market, which is an approach we've wanted and whined about for years and now it is here and here you are whining the opposite way. Impossible to please everybody. Stay unhappy.
  24. Another option for CDM I guess, can't say I know much about the man but Liverpool have been strongly linked with him.
