  1. Ahhh. Like others I couldn't read the entire article. He was saying he was out of position defencively, and honestly defence is not Pulisic's strength. I will say this, Lampard loves aggression on both sides of the ball. I doubt he looked at it negatively.
  2. Both goals were off turnovers and break away runs. It would seem to me regardless of your position, if you take the ball away and have a run at goal.....you fecking go!
  3. One of my best friends is a United fan. This game means a lot to him and his United buddies after the woeful start of their season.
  4. I am not sure who NBCSN is using for their halftime show, but one guy is a former Arsenal player and it really pains him to say anything good about Chelsea. It reminds me of what I read from Howard Zinn; Every writer has a bias, it helps to understand their writing when they are truthful about their bias. I think the same applies to sport media.
  5. Honestly, CHO, Mount, Willian and Pulisic have shown they can all play at a high level. I think Lampard should be looking at how to rotate them in and out of the lineup to give rest and ward off tired play and injuries.
  6. I expect Lampard will start Pulisic and rest either Willian or Mount. Both looked spent rather quickly against Ajax.
  7. It will be interesting to see if this story gets legs. I know the US media will beat it to death if there is any truth to Pulisic contacting Barca directly about a transfer. https://www.caughtoffside.com/2019/10/24/chelsea-transfer-news-pulisic-barcelona-talks/
  8. If ManU gets relegated, perhaps they will sell that Neanderthal Harry McGuire.
  9. He will not be available again until next week. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11708/11843900/danny-drinkwater-to-resume-burnley-training-after-nightclub-attack-says-sean-dyche
  10. I asked in Ajax match thread, but what was the deal with Jorginho tickling Batshuayi's balls to celebrate the goal? That was a strange celebration.
  11. WTH is the tickling the balls celebration?
  12. I like how Lampard is bringing Pulisic along slowly. He is showing flashes of what he will be. I am a fan of his, but you have to look at his short comings too. When he gets winded he has a habit of disappearing trying to get his stamina back. He does it often on the US team. He needs to get stronger and more endurance. He does need to play full games to rotate other starters out for rest. I really don't think he is strong enough or has the endurance that CHO and Willian have right now. He can get there, but he is not there right now. Just my opinion.
  13. Awesome three points, even if it was a struggle.
  14. I am following on google and you fine people are my commentary. At work
  15. I like the starters and I think Frank will make good use of subs. Which can also mean if players are playing great, leave them in.
  16. I wish the media would back off the Pulisic game time and starting. I don't think it is helpful at all.
  17. Moved up to 4th Place after Arsenal lost. I would say that Super Frank is deserving some credit for how the team is responding.
  18. Do you think Lampard will start alternating players to get them rest? We are like a walking hospital ward right now.
  19. I want to find the executive at NBC Sports that decided we need to see every Man U and Arsenal game and bitch slap him.
  20. Soccer gets a minute worth of coverage on hour sports news shows here. Pulisic is nowhere close to a household name here. Only those that follow the sport, which is 7% of the population know how he is doing in the EPL. If he is feeling US media pressure, he is watching very specific media. Even those of us that have followed the sport for years roll our eyes at ESPN coverage.
  21. I would'nt call it crying. He was very frustrated and covering his face. I can also understand the frustration. He is doing everything he can and things are not moving fast enough for him. This could be the best thing to up his game, time will tell.
  22. Last night Pulisic was pulled at the 60 minute. Early he was 1 against 5 because nobody was getting upfield. Then he disappeared. He was pissed, but he didn't lead, he just joined all the other losers in pathetic play.
  23. I am getting sick of these international breaks. I have needs dammit!
  24. Thank you Vesper. We had two of the three early games here and did not get Chelsea.
