They showed the warm up when Puli got injured. He slipped going for the ball, went down awkwardly, and knew instantly something was wrong. Looked like a groin pull. He was not limping walking off, so hopefully it is small.
Tbf, He was asked all that about being an English Coach, it was a leading question and he responded it could be. It would have been different if he brought it up.
Christian is looking very confident and aggressive in the attack. He is also tracking back and helping in defense more than last year. I really like the progress he is making.
Frank said something interesting a week or so ago. He said that with all the matches condensed that the team is not able to get as much training as last year. It seems he is backing off how hard he is pushing in training. The muscle injuries seem to be not as bad, still early in the season though. I hope this continues. Leave Timo and Kai on the bench and bring them in if the attack needs a boost.
If we stay near the top of the table and get a few more defenders in January, these team could become something special. Our schedule until the January window opens is really encouraging.
I am very happy that our defense is showing growth. The front four will gel and get deadly. Our team needs to stay in touch with the top of the table while the players learn to play together. Six new players...I am very happy with how we are progressing.
