Former Liverpool star Graeme Souness has urged Eden Hazard to leave Chelsea at the end of the season and sign for Spanish giants Real Madrid. Hazard has had a magnificent seven seasons with Chelsea and has helped the club to two Premier League titles, the FA Cup and a surprising Europa League crown. But there is much speculation in the media which has all suggested that this could be his final season in England. It is no secret that Hazard has ambitions to win the Champions League and Ballon D’or titles and there is a feeling that Chelsea cannot offer him that in the coming seasons, and it is also no secret that Madrid are looking to finally fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo. And now that Zinedine Zidane is back in charge of the Spanish giants, there is a strong suggestion that the French legend will launch a massive £98 million move to try and secure a big money move for Hazard, who he is a big fan of. And Souness believes Hazard needs to move on, writing in a column for the Sunday Times: ‘Eden needs the fresh challenge of moving to Real Madrid this summer. ‘I know Chelsea’s fans won’t thank me for saying so and we’ll all miss watching the player who’s probably been the best in the Premier League over the past three or four seasons, but there’s more to come from Hazard and it’s now or never for him to prove that. ‘He needs to be extended and pushed because he’s capable of going to another level, where he scores 30-plus goals a season.’ Souness added: ‘Where will Chelsea be without him? To lose him would be a huge blow because he’s their one outstanding talent. ‘The word is he’s a really good lad, but he can be accused of getting in his armchair a bit during games and drifting out of them. That’s why it’s now or never. ‘He needs to be in a more challenging environment. He has been fabulous for Chelsea but needs to be pushed, by himself or the environment he’s in, to go to the next level. ‘Moving to Real Madrid can bring that out of him. Souness is making a bold claim by telling Hazard to leave Chelsea, but many already feel that he has decided that this will be his final season at Chelsea and many will not be surprised when he does leave. But Real have not made an offer jus yet and until that happens, Hazard is a Chelsea player and should just keep focusing on doing the job for the club that pays his massive wages. LOVE CHELSEA? Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck said he expects Christian Pulisic’s arrival at Stamford Bridge to boost the club’s profile in the United States. Regarded as one of the best talents in the Bundesliga, Chelsea ended months of transfer speculation by convincing the young man to reject the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United and make the move to Stamford Bridge, in a deal worth around £57 million. It is unclear whether or not he is the immediate replacement for Eden Hazard, who is heavily tipped to pack his bags and leave for Real Madrid at the end of the season, especially as the Belgian has failed time and time again to commit his long-term future to Chelsea. But ahead of his summer arrival to Stamford Bridge, Buck has admitted that he will hopefully help Chelsea boost the clubs profile in America. “He’s a personable boy. He’s well-liked in this country,” Buck told Associated Press. “So, of course I would expect him when we come here and play some friendly matches, which is what our objective is in the summer of 2020. Then yes, I think he will he will be helpful.” Read Full Article and more Chelsea news here!

Former Arsenal striker Paul Mariner has told Chelsea that Callum Hudson-Odoi will not be joining Barcelona in the summer, and he needs to stay wit the club. Despite making only a handful of Premier League starts under Maurizio Sarri this season, there has been a lot of headlines in the media regarding the future of Hudson-odoi as the winger seeks regular game time to help further his career, something he believes he deserves. Hudson-Odoi has become a firm fans favourite and has impressed on every occasion that he has stepped onto the pitch, his performances in the Europa League even earned him a call-up to the England National side, with boss Gareth Southgate believing he has a big future in the game. However, speculation is rife about where he will end up during the summer window, which is frustrating many Chelsea fans, with a number of top clubs all circling to try and prse him away from Stamford Bridge with the premise of regular football. But Mariner has claimed that he needs to stay at Chelsea, and will not be leaving for the likes of Barcelona this coming summer. “Hudson-Odoi, every single Chelsea fan wants him to stay at Chelsea,” Mariner said “Sarri’s been reluctant to play him, I don’t know why, I really don’t. Sometimes he plays Pedro, okay [Eden] Hazard’s got to play, and [Gonzalo] Higuain is playing through the middle, or [Olivier] Giroud. Despite alot of transfer speculation linking a number of world class players with Stamford Bridge, Maurizio Sarri only managed to sign Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund and Higuain from Juventus on-loan until the end of the season. However, there are many in the media that are not happy with the business of Chelsea as the club needed to acquire a world class defender and a striker that will be at the club longer than a few months. Gunners legend Alan Smtih said on icfootballnews: ‘They have gone to the top end in terms of players and fees in Higuain and Pulisic. ‘They did need a striker and they have filled that gap, but Higuain does need to get fitter and acclimatised to this style of football. ‘However, there is all sorts going on there, so it is not just a question of putting in a striker and all being well. ‘Pulisic is a young player with a lot of potential, although he was not pulling up trees at Dortmund and he lost his place to Jadon Sancho. ‘But the deal will give them pace and width next season and they have lightened the wage bill. ‘And they needed a striker and given there were not many out there with that sort of pedigree, they have done well.’ But were they good signings by the club?

Ruud Gullit has claimed ‘old fashioned’ Gonzalo Higuain will struggle at Chelsea after completing his move. Higuaín finally completed his move to the club after months of speculation, but Gullit claims that he will struggle to adapt to life in the premier League. Higuaín struggled for goals at Milan and only managed 8 in 22 appearances, which is not much better than what Alvaro Morata managed this season. Gullit said this on Icchelseanews.com: ‘I hope I am wrong, I really do, but Higuain is an old-fashioned striker who needs crosses and, if he plays up front all the time, he will not see many balls there because of the way Eden Hazard and Willian play. ‘Those two always come inside, and dribble or shoot, and try to do things themselves. ‘So they don’t need a player up there who is a target man, because Chelsea don’t use one and, under Sarri, they never do. ‘Instead they need a centre-forward who can play in midfield too, and be effective on the ball as well as be a finisher inside the box. Roberto Firmino, who comes so deep for Liverpool, is the perfect example. ‘That is how Chelsea’s front man has to play too, which is why I am not sure Higuain is the answer. At the very least, he has a difficult job because, with the way they are set-up, he will not be able to play the way he wants. ‘We will have to wait and see, but Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud are both good strikers, and it has not worked out for them.’ Do you guys agreed with what he said?
