It's not the first time Chelsea fans have done something racially motivated, be it on social media and/or match days and/or subways.
-
We honestly have the worst set of fans. No kidding.

RLC is a 8

I would replace mount with jorginho. Not because of talent, but just because of defensive solidarity. Atleast until Tammy or any striker starts scoring and banging them in, we need to be more aware of not leaking goals.
-
Thank you. Atleast I will be watching the next 9 months cheering on one of the players rather than hoping he fails, which seems to be the case for most here.
-
So who? False nine? Giroud? The whole point of highly Dynamic, high pressing team goes out of the window. Also how many PL goals did giroud score last season? Michy? Decent goal scorer, other than that? Most of our play and chances have looked good because each of the player can play under pressure. Can't say that about michy. Just like yesterday, we would end up losing the ball 9/10 times and make our midfield push back. Compared to them we have Tammy that checks the link up and hold up play boxes. As far as his finishing goes, anyone with 25+ goals can't be a shabby goal scorer. Like I have been saying, judge him when we have a decent sample size. But for this season, he is our best option and bet. If Tammy has a break through season, we have a good first option for a long term future. As far as michy is concerned, fans wanting him really need a reality check. Conte had a fall out with Costa, and instead of using michy, chose morata and giroud. Sarri chose morata/higuain and giroud. Lamps has chosen Tammy and giroud. I see a very simple trend here. Those who can't see what we will be losing with michy in the team, it's hard to explain. But all I can say is it takes more than 2 goalless games against United and pool to knock down a striker.

Well said. We'll put.🙏
-
😂 Sure.
-
Lol. Sure. Because 2 games can define everything. Brilliant. 😂
-
And 2 games make him a dud? What was Dd's goal numbers in the first 2 games? Or even seasons. Lol. Seriously can't believe some of the opinions on here. Hopeless.
-
Lol. So goal ratio= merit? What nonsense. It's not about youth. It's about overall game play. Which michy's is the worst.
-
Did you see his hold up play? His link up play? When he was winning duels against vvd. Why should michy get in the team? On merit? Given how they performed last season and the varied success of their loan spells, there is only one winner.
-
So all the official figures and numbers are wrong, right? Please see the above mentioned links. As for travelling, are you serious? Do you even know how much travelling is involved in NBA. Stop showing ignorance. USA alone has as much area as the whole of Europe. Tennis tournaments literally shift countries with Monte Carlo open followed by Madrid followed by Rome followed by french open. Football is not the only sport where players deal with travelling and burn out. It might not even be the sport which requires the most amount of travelling and energy expenditure. Given that it's the start of the season, burn out and fatigue should not be an issue, and thats the only point I am trying to make.

I am comparing 2 of the biggest events in NBA and football. And you have the stats. You wanted to talk about the popularity and viewership and you have the answer. I also mentioned the average number of miles run by both footballers and tennis players, which you conviniently missed. How much are man city footballers running against most of the bottom halves of PL? Just tiki-takaing there way with an odd 3rd man run. For every Federer example, you will have those too.
-
So? Have you seen a basketball or tennis games? How many times did zouma or Andreas have the cover the length of the football field? Or even azpi for that matter. Football most of the game is about holding position, jogging/walking to cover the lines. Average distance run by a male football player is 7miles. Last year azpi played the most which was around 53, so 371miles (and this is the worst case situation, won't be surprised if azpi played the most number of games in Europe's top 5 leagues, at an average it will be 40 games) Compare that to tennis players who play upwards of 60games a season at an average of 4miles a games. There are 10 atp1000 tournaments, 4 grand slams and numerous atp500 tournament. In Grand slams you play every other day and in all the rest of the tournaments you play just the next day. Average of 20miles in 5 days if you win the atp1000 tournament. Also people saying that tennis and basketball have breaks. Footballers are jogging most of the time or just holding the lines. Lastly regarding viewership. 15.14M viewers watched the NBA finals (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA_Finals_television_ratings) far higher than any ucl final viewership (https://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2019/06/uefa-champions-league-final-viewership-univision-tnt/)

😂 I remember those comments. I am starting to see a trend here. The players are only as good as their last game.
-
Not Oscar. Anyone but him, he was shite. Mount reminds me a lot of Muller. A bit of everything, speed, skills, shot, movement and a high footballing iq.
-
People are not after mount because he did not miss a trophy winning penalty. People tend to react with hyperboles in case of a loss. Case in point - zouma. The way people had written him off and the things people had written about him was embarrassing. If Tammy had not missed the pen, the narrative would have been- solid performance, won a penalty, good hold up play, even won several duels against vvd. There were a lot of things positive about his performances too.
-
I can start my statement with the same line "you have understood nothing" too. Didier was the greatest striker to play for this club. Do you remember his misses against Barca in the 2008-09 semis? Judging a young striker based on 2 games against a top 4 PL competitor and the world's best team is what I am against.
-
In that case, we should NEVER ever give any good young striker a chance, because at a certain point in time, bamford had a good season too, right? If I directly quote the number of people already writing Tammy off, it would be half the forum. But let's not forget, it was the same number of people who had written RLC off. Or believed in the Oscar hype and written kdb off etc etc. Some people even have a next summer Target list already, after 1 game of this season. Irrespective, the point I am making is simple. Give him a chance. Tammy won't be the first striker to not score in a back to back debut games against United and pool. Let's judge him when we have a decent sample size. Let's trust in Frank and his judgement. So far (despite) the 2 losses, we have played better football than any of the previous multiple title winning managers had managed us to play. And this is without a top-5 in the world attacker that Frank is missing while those guys had. So I feel that he knows what he is doing, and let's get behind him.
-
The arm chair pundits are really giving it to Tammy. Let's forget that his overall play is far better than any striker's we have seen since Costa, or the fact that he scored 25+ goals last season, but it only takes some geniuses on here to judge him in 2 games. What's worse is these will be the same people cribbing, crying and moaning their shit out over "we have no youth". 2 games against 2 top opposition's, and he gave a decent account of himself. He will be fine.
-
Basketball players play 82 high freaking intensity games in less than 6 months. Tennis players play year round. Mostly back to back days. And back to back weeks. It's only in football and mostly in this day and age of social media that we see this "load mamagement" shit. 3 games in 7 days after 3 months of holiday and pre-srason and rest should not even be a big deal.
-
Liverpool are the best team in the world and we gave them a run for their money. Probably even deserved to win. I love the movement. Love how people trust each other on the ball. We have given a very good account of ourselves against 2 top 4 PL teams. Still it's a long way, and I am sure we will have our ups and downs. But you can see that we will be fine. More than just fine, we will be great if Frank is given time. As for the negative Nellie's, go fuck yourselves.
-
I hope this means no Pedro and Alonso on the weekend.
-
He has a contract until 2022. Which means 24mil euros of his amortized contract (40mil over 5 years) is still left on our books. Selling him for 20mil or 15mil will be incurring loss which can next year easily be turned to a decent enough profit. Next year he will have 16mil of his amortized contract left. A showing similar to that in AC milan coupled with no bust up that he had with Gattuso would mean selling him for a decent enough sum like 25, 30mil. Which would means a 10/15mil profit on the books. Lets give the board the credit where they deserve. They are doing a great job balancing the books.
