He was a good squad player and when called to perform he did it well. I have followed him from Benitez time and i know what i am talking about. i mean the guy has won more honours that Rudiger has. Why should we sell just to go by another possible squad player

why give him a chance. Somehow i am thinking that his treatment is not fair but what is compounding everything is the fact that Ake got sold and Rudiger seem to be a replacement. I personally wouldn't have had a problem if it was Zuoma who got sold but AKE. I STILL DON'T GET WHY WE SHOULD SELL AKE. Every team is looking for players like Asensio, Mbappe, Dele Alli, Dembele(Dort), Rashford and the list goes on, because they are young but good. Won't chelsea be happy if we had our own young star instead of chasing others and paying abnormal money. Instead we prefer to sell ours always and go and try to convince others. Everyone says Ake has a BB clause. What i know about this BB clause is that, if you sell a player for 20m you would buy him back for 30-35m or if you sell for and undisclosed fees(to worthless to mention) you would buy the player back for probably between 10m-15m. Now it only works for one team. Example if next season Ake is sold to lets say Swansea because maybe AFC B our going on relegation, the clause cancels then from that point on he will be beyond the clause price. Is it worth it when we could have just sent him on a 2 year loan like we did Christensen. Look at Barca, they sold Deulofeu for 6m and activated their BB clause and got him for 10.5m which is more than 50% the sale price now imagine Ake. We are looking for other youngsters when the ones we have our leaving.

I agree with you and to top it all up we our selling players who are good for us as squad players. These players have been with Chelsea since they were kids and am sure will not have a problem being in the team and getting paid a bit less but rather we sell them and go and get players who will cost 2x what we sold them for and will take 3x their wages just to sit on the bench and be a squad rotational player. I know we have a rich owner but I which Chelsea could look forward to being a bit more self sufficient so we can ease the pressure on the owner. I fear the day Roman has not enough money cause if you look at his net worth before he bought Chelsea and now, it unbelievable cause the guy doesn't run Chelsea for profit like others do. He doesn't look like someone who is willing to have partners own Chelsea with him as well. He has invest the highest amount of money in Chelsea than any other owner. I read today that the EPL teams invest a combined 5-6£B of which Roman has invest 2£B alone in chelsea. And this is expected to go up when he completes the new bridge. We might not make major signings for awhile when this project takes cause and we will also be paying for the services of Wembley. I just can't believe we sold Ake.
